You can subtitle English language dialogue so whats your point?
What's your point? You randomly brought in this "immersion" topic when all I said was one word.

My original point was that if you want the Japanese voices but don't know it (for whatever reason) then you can use subtitles to know what they are saying. A lot of people do that IIRC. Especially with fighting games.

Oh my gods, no! Why? Why, Squaresoft...I mean Sqare Enix? Why would you betray my trust? I...I'm going to start buying Eidos games from now on! That's right you whore, I'm going to cheat on you! WHAT! You've bought Eidos? *falls to knees so as to curse the sky from a more dramatic angle* WHYYYYYYYY???

Just kidding! I don't particularly care, I'm not going to get it 'til 15 comes out anyway. And I'll probably get a PS3 and a 360, just to spite the fanboys (plus, Live has better support than PSN, at least according to all of my credible sources). I might only have Sony products right now, but that's because the PS2 is one of the greatest systems ever with a huge backlog of games and the PSP is better than the DS. Now I just need a Blackberry Storm or an IPhone and I'm one of those annoying techno geeks...

Is anyone still shocked that the game is coming on 1 disc even without the Japanese voice overs? I would've bet anything the game was gonna come on a stack of DVDs considering LO came on 4, BD came on 3, and SO came on 3.......

Seeing as were talking about a game that wont have a japanese language version on these shores then we wont need Japanese to English subtitles.

XII had good voice-acting so I imagine this one will too. X had some bad parts but it was their first real attempt at it, and it wasn't nearly as bad as some people said.

The first thing I try ta do w/ any jrpg, or anime, is try ta get the subtitled version..... I would have loved ff xiii more if it was in Japanese on 360, but I have made due w/ what I got, and I love the game even tho the voices aren't that great. Lost Odyssey would have been horrible if I had ta play it in English. I don't really know if I would have kept playing if I had ta listen to crummy English (American) voice overs....... so I guess the only good comment I can make now is this: GIVE US THE CHOICE PLEASE : )

Plus it's easier to forgive a voice over in another language..... and since English (American) is such a bland language, any other version can easily be better as far as I'm concerned.

(American) (American) (American).... say it enough times and it sounds like a funny word.

I started the game yesterday, and so far the dub seems acceptable, so i don't particulary care about not having a japanese dub. The older games didn't have one either, and that never stopped me from playing them.

The playstation version doesn't have the Japanese Dub either, it just wasn't feasible to have the original Japanese audio.

Why would you want to listen to the Japanese anyway? Even on BluRay, it's just a useless feature that I couldn't care less about.
