Bayonetta Rap Video Makes a Great Trailer

This Bayonetta [http://www.amazon.com/Bayonetta-Playstation-3/dp/B001YHX4B0/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1280952948&sr=1-1] rap is the perfect song to listen to while rolling on dubs.

Bayonetta recently hit store shelves to critical acclaim as a worthy successor to the Devil May Cry series. I've only played the demo myself, but that's what people are saying anyway. A group of musicians enjoy the character of Bayonetta so much, they've created a professional rap song all about her.

Called "Reaping Beauty," the song was written by "Game Store Girl" [http://mclars.com/site/], Random is a Philadelphia based rapper with Mega Man themed albums Mega Ran and Mega Ran 9 under his belt, and Tina Root was the lead singer of Switchblade Symphony for 10 years. They've definitely come together to make something cool here.

Platinum Games' Bayonetta is a third-person action title about a witch that fights with guns and magical attacks made out of her own hair. The video pretty much gives you an idea of the craziness that can go on in the game. If I worked for Platinum Games, I would probably ditch whatever trailers I had been using before and go with this one instead. When professional musicians make awesome videogame music, it's pretty much the tops.

Meh, I didn't like the song.

I prefer the games soundtrack.

And the RZA

I'm fairly sure I just watched the end result of an experiment to breed a gangster and a geek.

It wasn't quite to my tastes, but it was certainly entertaining.

Yay! MC Lars...

He's a pretty cool guy. Didn't really like this song though, he has done a lot better stuff...

Might just be me, but I thought it turned out pretty well. Not exactly a rap fan myself, but this was rather catchy. Kudos to those guys supporting the games industry!

I actually didn't mind it at all, it was well-edited and the music wasn't half-bad. And that's coming from a metalhead. :)

Loled.

I liked it! For the music, of course.

Any bets on when the first Bayonetta machinima porno rears its head?

I'm not impressed with the game, it's just too similar to those that came before it. Except this one has a female character. The music was okay, but does make me wonder: when known figures come together to rap about a game, have they hit rockbottom? Seems like they're just using Bayonetta as a vehicle to market themselves to a fresh audience. Is that 'selling out'?

Seeing a lot of rather odd Bayonetta-related things lately, from this rap to an image likening Bayonetta to Sarah Palin. [http://www.ripten.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/bayonetta-spalin-are-the-same1.jpg]

Man, what's with the hatred of rap? When'd y'all get so EDGE Magazine's Review [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09XQLmBNrCo]) to go out, buy the game, and play it until I drop.

And before I get accusations, I'm not normally so easily swayed; I've watched multiple reviews, seen it in action, and will download a demo at the first opportunity to confirm my suspicions.

hmmmm...

I don't really like rap... and the tune is a bit crap if I'm honest.

I liked the demo though, I might consider even getting this game at one point.
