No Price Cuts, No New Games for PlayStation 3 at Leipzig

Saying the company was trying not to "overload" the customer, he added, "It's important to get a window so that someone's played a game and they're ready for the next one, because they don't have huge wallets and they can't go out and buy five games at 59 Euros ($80) all the time. So we're trying to do pillar titles every month."

Sony did, however, unveil its partnership with Electronic Arts to produce this year's Interactive World Cup [http://www.fifa.com/fanfest/fifainteractiveworldcup/index.html] will involve thousands of international players, with the top 32 going to Berlin to play the final match. Prizes include $20,000 and an invite to the FIFA World Player Gala.
