The Week in Review

This week games talk about porn, developers spouses speak out, blue people hurt Ubisoft, Heavy Rain box art inspires exactly no one, and some English guy opens a bar in Australia.

The Lady Doth Protest Too Much

Apparently channelling EA from six years ago, Rockstar San Diego is allegedly treating its workers rather badly, at least according to their significant others. In an open letter from the "Determined Devoted Wives of Rockstar San Diego Employees", the Rockstar employees are working increasingly long hours with very little management support. While the letter contains no specific demands, but promises legal action should the sitaution remain unchanged. Man I wish I lived in Brisbane
I wonder if anyone will forget that they aren't in Oblivion when they are there

while i agree that the "manabar" sounds cool, well not really the name is pretty lame, there are nerdy bars everywhere, i live 5-6 min from an bar with the exact same theme.

and i bet theres one close to you too.

or just take a bottle of rum with you to a pc cafe, they are pretty cool about it.

Sir I live in a Canadian little Logging/Mining town that is basically a giant retirement home for Vancouver full of pot heads.
We can't even support a Video game STORE much less a bar.
Sorry if I seem angry, I'm not, I just sometimes get a little edgy when it seems like we're still in the stone age.
And it seems like everyone here has lived to see said age.
Anyways your enlightened now,
The nearest possible gaming bar might be in Vancouver which in itself a hour drive and a ferry ride and another hour drive away.

Hm, the Mana Bar sounds pretty awesome - I remember hearing Yahtzee talking about that in a previous interview; good to see he went through with the idea.

Well, another week has come and gone and nothing seems to have happened that could really affect my life. Although my congrats to Mr. Croshaw for the bar. That sounds like it's going to be a hit. If I lived anywhere near the area I'd certainly visit but I'm on the other side of the globe so... yeah.

If I'm ever in Australia I'll have to see about this "Mana Bar". Though I seriously doubt I will ever be in Australia or Brisbane and I'm hardly going there for a bar. But anyway, congratulations to Mr Croshaw, I hope it works out for you.
