Always preferred my 3rd person games on consoles (with controller) and 1st person games on pc (with mouse), but now I'm looking for 3rd person games made primarily for mouse/keyboard. Which ones have a good system for targeting/locking on to things?
While it goes against the Mouse/Keyboard requirement stated in OP, I feel like I just have to second the notion of booting up Dark Souls. It's just one of the very, very few games I can still pick up and have a good time with even after, what, 400 hours or so of playtime.Chaosian said:For melee, I'd consider Dark Souls to have a pretty good hard lock-on system. Very simple, but it works.
Dragon's Dogma has a awesome soft lock-on system that is quite impressive on a technical level. Tell your guy to do a running attack from a standing location and he'll do a running attack to the best target over 90% of the time.
You're joking? Those two, in particular, have issues with precise camera which is very much dependent on it. In Dogma, it is nearly impossible to target a lich above you, when surrounded by it's minions, or enchantment on pawns when they're moving about.Chaosian said:For melee, I'd consider Dark Souls to have a pretty good hard lock-on system.
