Ken Levine Talks Downloadable Content for BioShock

Games For Windows Magazine [http://www.mobygames.com/developer/sheet/view/developerId,6832/] in a post-BioShock interview, touching briefly on the possibilities of expanding the game's experience through downloadable content.

Diablo II [http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3163716], to me, was a great model for an expansion, because it enhanced the original game, but also extended the game, too. I'm not really a big fan of expanding things just by linearly adding to the experience, adding a new campaign, as much as I am of enhancing the original experience and adding replayability to that experience."

"I think that certainly 2K Boston [http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock/]could begin building new content.

The November issue of Games For Windows Magazine goes on sale October 30.

I think the action was perfectly balanced and well executed. BioShock could be expanded to include more of the back story to Rapture... How did all these people actually go along with it? How did they all become spliced? Where are the people who didn't go splice-overkill??

This article really sums it up, if you ask me:

Still, it was a beautifully fantastic game, and I'd love to play more of it!

It kind of hurts me that this is going to be series but if they do add onto the story I hope they delve into what happened on that fateful new years day

Ooh! I know! How about an option to not have Vita-Chambers every ten feet (as Yahtzee so eloquently put it)? Of course, this would make BioShock even more like System Shock 2...

Yahtzee, while being highly amusing, missed the real flaws in his review. I think once a week reviewing is too much for the poor chap!
