Released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the smash hit movie starring Lionsgate [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000664/]in honor of the event, which also included the release of a special 20th anniversary edition of the movie on DVD and Blu-ray and a remastered companion CD from Sony/BMG. I never fail to be amazed at what people are actually willing to pay for. This has got to be one of the stupidest game concepts ever.

Probably a lot of people said exactly the same thing 20 years ago about the movie.

More seriously: Easykill, I think its a wonderful game concept, because it has an audience. I will never play it, nor will you, but as long as they made it well, there are people that will get enjoyment out of this. That makes me happy for them, just as long as they keep it away from me.

[sarcasm]And Malygris, how can you deny the quality of a movie getting 61% on rottentomatoes (66% users) [as of this posting]?[/sarcasm]

EDIT: Sorry Malygris, left off sarcasm tags. *fixed*

I'm not denying the quality of anything, I'm just imaging people hearing about Dirty Dancing for the first time back in the 80s and thinking, what kind of stupid-ass idea is this? The point being that while I think everything about the movie sounds monstrously stupid, obviously there's a whole bunch of people who didn't (and still don't) agree with me; and while I think the game sounds kinda stupid too (and so do the majority of Escapist readers, no doubt), there's a whole bunch of people who aren't going to agree with me on that one either. The fact is that despite what crazy Nintendo executives say, there is no such thing as a universal game, so the only way I'd call Dirty Dancing "bad" or "stupid" is if it's a horrible money-grab hack job. But as long as it's done well, like you say, then good for them and everyone who enjoys it.

Also, good PA link.
