World of Goo and Henry Hatsworth Creators Form Indie Studio

If the Tomorrow Corporation is a Corporation dedicated to the creation of Indie Games, is it really Indie anymore?

Tomorrow Corporation has announced its intent to calculatedly manufacture colorful and unique indie games. "For years, giant corporations have been hurt by scrappy indie studios hogging the limelight with titles like Crayon Physics Deluxe, Braid [http://www.amazon.com/Braid-Pc/dp/B0030BFW18/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1279052457&sr=1-1], World of Goo, and Super Meat Boy. To those tiny, un-American, indie developers, Tomorrow Corporation would like to deliver a message: Your reign of terror ends ... Tomorrow!" an unidentified PR spokesperson said.

Somewhat dubious claims of corporate indie credentials aside, Tomorrow Corporation has acquired indie developers Allan Blomquist, Kyle Gabler, and Kyle Gray. Blomquist and Gabler are known for the indie puzzle and construction game World of Goo [http://www.amazon.com/World-Goo-Pc/dp/B001ENOVP2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1279052425&sr=1-1], while Gray is better known for the EA release Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure.

Thus far, Tomorrow Corporation hasn't announced any upcoming games but it has said new information on its games should be forthcoming. "The secret to a truly great indie game is that special human touch, which our producers have scheduled for insertion shortly before the product ships," the spokesperson said.

I for one welcome our new corporate overlords whispering reassurances in our ears in the form of "indie" titles. Who wants to be a sell-out?

Now I have even more reason to get Kyle Gray and Kyle Gabler confused.

"Kyle Gray... I mean Gabler... I mean the one who works at Tomorrow Corporation. Oh, wait. Darn."

Ooh, ooh, I wanna be a sell-out! *joins the corporate hivemind*

OT: Um, other than that, hooray? I haven't played World of Goo, and I couldn't progress in Hatsworth once the difficulty spike went quartic, so...

More power to them? And may their indie corporation take over the world. take over the world!!!

I'm so confused. But that picture and paragraph just made me think of World of Goo.

This could be interesting. It seems most indie developers either vanish, keep going as they are, or are just taken in by the standard large corporations. I like the idea of seeing some actually trying to develop a larger studio, especially the World of Goo people.

Finally! It's not like I have been dropping hints that you should for a while.

A corporation made up of three people. Lawlz. I like how those two Kyles satirize corporate culture over and over and over and over.
