The "Hardcore Gamer's IQ Test" Will Make You Feel Wussy

If you've never before considered your gaming knowledge to be inadequate, then put your brain (and your eyesight) to the test.

Hardcore gamers tend to pride themselves on their gaming knowledge: the more obscure, the better. Hell, that's the entire point behind some of our weekly quizzes, when you really think about it. But DeviantART user shadow502t [http://shadow502t.deviantart.com/art/Hardcore-Gamer-s-IQ-Test-156824862] put together an "IQ Test" of sorts that will blow your mind and make you feel completely and wholly inadequate.

On the other hand, it might also make you feel like you've spent entirely too much time in your short life playing videogames, but there you go.

In addition to just naming all "375 games and more than 425 characters," in the picture, there are some other further challenges:

-What 2 games here never came out?
-Which 10 characters appear more than once?
-What character stars in the most games?
-What games are represented solely by an enemy character, not the hero?
-Which 5 games are just represented by an object?
-Which characters were their consoles' "mascots"?
-Which is the oldest game on display?
-Which characters are hunting or watching each other?
-Which characters are dead?

And finally, my favorite: Where are all 20 Fallout 3 bobbleheads hidden?

Care to test your luck [http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/069/4/6/Hardcore_Gamer__s_IQ_Test_by_shadow502t.jpg]?

That is awesome... I'll be looking through it hard into the future.

Hey, if nothing else it looks like an awesome desktop.

impressive, but it is rather hard telling the difference between the generic brown haired handsome guys and the generic space marines.

and meaning no offense to halo, was it really necessary to put 3 almost identical npcs from the game in here?, beside the small differences in the shape of their helmet theres no other way of telling em apart.

Yeesh. On the second and 3rd rows, I named about half the characters or games.

I know just enough.

Damn! Thats pretty awesome.

But some are hard to see because their either too small or too grey to see.

Still awesome though.

I think I've solved one...Oldest Game is Pakkuman, which is just approaching 30 years old, in May.(Bottom left)

Edit: HOLD IT....there's a Space Invader Gun, bottom right , so 32.

Editx2: Although...there is a chess piece on the bottom line...which is about 450 years old, if we're going by that particular shape.

some of them don't even have real formal names like generic helghast trooper, generic starcraft space marine, or generic oblivion guard. Hope they're not real specific on the names.

If I'm being generous... I could name about half and I think I've got about 6 bobble heads.

Thanks for making me feel completely inadequate...

He has the Panzer Dragoon Saga Main character on there.
Big geek creed, the game is a hidden gem, because Sega only printed 1000 Copies.
Best Rpg combat system ever created.
I would say check it out, but thats rather hard.
Getting one of the 1000 4-Disk copies is expensive, and Saturnemulation is tricky and hardeware-hungry.

E.T. , Actraiser, F-zero, Custers revenge (atari porn game, rather infamous) seems rather easy.
Though I was overwhelmed at first.

...all right; that's definitely convinced me that I've spent way too long playing and reading about computer games. And one of the games that never came out is Full Throttle 2. Damn LucasArts...
