Oh, come on Sleek. It's obvious this place houses irrational fear of the place; this is simply stupid. You won't change their opinions. The only way it'll change is if they go there and find it to actually be decent for themselves.
I think it's /b/ that most people have a problem with :p, though I find it sort of funny the reputation it has.

ps. Your new asuka avatar is strangely cute :S

Didn't 4chan/Anon or whatever also track down that asshole that tortured a cat?

I think they do this just for fun. They're aware of their reputation, so they take great pleasure in subverting it, just because they can.

/b/ is evil, not 4chan.
Would you like me to go to /v/, post one single sentence, and prove that even if they aren't evil, they're still fucking 4chan?

I could spark a flame war with six simple words, I bet.
Four words.

PS3 has no games.
Three words.

Oblivion with guns.
OMFG I FLAME U FOR THIS@!$##

I'll be honest I've done nothing beyond thinking for vets since ANZAC day.

:( I'm a bad person.

For people who aren't from Australia and New Zealand Anzac day is the 24th of April.

Edit: Why are people shocked that good things can happen on 4chan. No different to bad things happening here.

It's possible it's one guy posting the whole thing if you feel like being cynical.

Regardless, I hope no one sends him a dead eagle or some shit.
Thought it was the 25th? And this sounds nice, although if you put it online, you have no idea what people will send. Some people might be nice and send a card, and then some people might be dicks and send something worse.

Halo sucks.
Say that in gaming forums and a flamewar instantly starts.
I STAB YOU DEAD!

OT: how nice.
that is all.

It's called Random for a reason...

Edit: Wait, which part did it come from? People are saying it wasn't the one that shall not be named, so which one is doing this instead?
Not sure where it started, but it's found its way there as well.

This aids my hypothesis.

\b\ is a microcosm of humanity, all of it's bile and disgusting thoughts. BUt jut liike real life, behind all the porn and name calling there is some good in there, just really well hidden. Kind of like when someone paid a guy's rent for a month, someone he never even knew and never will know.

4-Chan is a direct representation of the world, warts and all.
You mean this?

OT: This isn't as surprising to me as it is to other people, I guess because I'm a /b/tard. /b/ is random, anything and everything can be posted there, from a "Laugh you lose" thread, to a porn thread, to a thread asking for relationship advice. And also I found this cool pic:

Thats right, Anon has stopped from rigging polls and exchanging porn for a while and has decided to wish this vet a very nice happy birthday.

So just thought I'd ask, are you shocked by this act?

Also just to make you feel bad, what have you done for war vets lately?

Also don't say rules 1 and 2 since those only apply in raids.
And to be extra nice, send him a card if you want.
Oh no, 4chan doing something nice? Heads up, they aren't always bad. Just because /b/ is bad doesn't mean the site is.
Hell, even the Youtube porn raids were in retaliation for an uncalled for ban of lukeywes1234.

Well in order to take amusement in all the sick weird things they do, some balance has gotta seep out from somewhere. It's kind of funny to watch.

They'll do the most irritating/vile/disgusting/racist things to people they hate, but now and then someone will proclaim "SAVE THE KITTENS" and the army will jump into action.

This would be one hell of a psychology project.

Even /b/ can do some good. They've done two raids on people responsible for animal cruelty. They're really good at finding people and getting shit done. I don't spend a whole lot of time on /b/ but the couple of times I have been there I've seen entertaining shit and disgusting shit. It's an anonymous site. All kinds of people go there.

Well, I used to read to my veteran great grandfather at Stepping Hill Hospital, he'd gone blind at that point, so I like to think it was a good deed. I also helped organize a banquet at the local old people's home when I temped there, not exclusively for veterans obviously, but a couple turned up and I made sure they were comfortable and happy.

'Course, I also like that evil rock 'n' roll, so I'm not a good apple all over.

OT: Spontaneous case of human nature: Estimated recovery time, 3 minutes, estimated heart-warming, 100%. Good for you, /b/.
