Sony Slashes Old Online Servers



Fourteen PS2 and PSP titles will lose their online components at the end of June.

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the servers for fourteen Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable games will be shut down on June 30, 2008.

Two games, EyeToy Chat and Twisted Metal Black Online, will be yielded completely inoperable as neither of these games has an offline mode.

The list of affected games includes:

PSP Games

It was only a matter of time before the PS2 servers went to the wayside. The focus on the PS3 and its online component was bound to take over any remaining hardware that Sony had for the PS2.
