Japan has built several giant Gundams. If the United States had to build a giant statue in reverence of a pop culture icon, what should it be?

Or a pair ot AT-AT's somewhere in the grounds of the Smithsonian. Seeing as that's about all the awesome mecha the west has managed, surely there's enough money to build them all?

A huge Dragon, with horns hewn of solid gold, and teeth carved of ivory. Eyes of ruby, and scales of sapphire and emerald... Just because it's AMERICA, the land of excess, corruption, and decadence.

Yeah... That'd show the other countries just how awesome we are.

Realistically, though...
I say a huge statue of George Carlin, looking down at us all with a disgusted grimace upon his face. Seems appropriate.

Better yet, add George Carlin's face to Mt. Rushmore.
