Question of the Day, August 9, 2010

The cartoon from childhood days, Yogi Bear, is being turned into a videogame. What other childhood cartoons should be made into games?

Most of the above have been turned into games in some variation or another.

To be honest I can't think of one I'd want which hasn't already been turned into one.

I believe most of the poll options have already been turned into games. But for me, it would be Scooby Doo. Loved the series as a kid, love the cartoon films even more (especially The Witch's Ghost, although that may have been the fact that a goth girl band are main characters... ;D). And one of my favourites of the cartoon films, The Cyber Chase, was made into a game years ago that I had as a kid, and loved. A videogame of a film that was actually good, and it was Scooby Doo - what are the odds?

Out of those I'd have to side with Scooby Doo, would make an awesome young persons detective game

I've seen games of all but 'Muppet Babies'.
I've never even heard of 'Doug' before now.
I can't think of any children-show based games I'd want to play.
I can just play Fallout 3 with the Children of the Wastes mod >.>

I would be first in line if a Phineas and Ferb [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phineas_and_Ferb]-themed platformer was ever released.

Captain fucking Planet?? That would be amazingly fun.
And incredibly preachy.

Hmm...

If one had to be made into a game... I'd guess I'd have to go with "Kids for Cthulhu: Tentacle Lickn' Good"... oh wait... that's a T-Shirt... but still... that'd be awesome.

Would be strange to make though, quite a handful of characters :/.
Although I guess you could do like a different story for each of the kids? ://

Also yeah, most of them have been made into games. Unfortunately most of the Scooby Doo games sucked. (I had one as a kid and I still can't beat it x.x)

Scooby Doo could make an AMAZING adventure game - maybe done in the style of Maniac Mansion where you can control multiple characters in multiple rooms at different times - and even though it might not work for everyone, if they had some fleeing scenes with Shaggy and Scooby running from ghosts done a la Heavy Rain style cut scenes... oh man...

I mean, the more appropriate thing would be Dragon's Lair, but it'd need to be the cartoony goofiness of Dragon's Lair with the feasible, approachable game play of Heavy Rain. I don't want to imply that the game would have the style of Heavy Rain or anything.

Anyway. Adventure Game plus silly running away equals Scooby Doo!

Duck Tales! Get David Jason in again... either that, or the other David Jason classic, Dangermouse.

Say it with me, now... "Crumbs, Dangermouse!"

Short of Muppet Babies, each one of those has a game already. A new Doug wouldn't go awry though.

MAY THE FIRES OF HELL RAIN DOWN UPON SPONGEBOB AND ALL THAT HE STANDS FOR.

I'd like to see a (new) Ren & Stimpy game. One of the best Cartoons ever.

Shoot, this was exactly what I was thinking. It would be nice if it were based more on the current series Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. The gang is more fleshed out in that series.

Batman Beyond would be cool. Of course they'd drop the excellent writing though, as most game writers are retarded.
