CCP Announces EVE Fanfest 2008
EVE Online [http://www.ccpgames.com/]fans around the world to gather and celebrate the continued success of one of gaming's most successful MMOGs.
EVE Fanfest 2008 will take place from November 6-8 at Laugardalur, in the heart of the Icelandic capital of EVE Fanfest 2007 [http://www.visitreykjavik.is/] was the largest ever, with nearly 1500 people showing up for a three-day party that included tournaments, presentations by CCP developers, roundtable discussions, a silent auction and more.
The announcement comes only two days after the mysterious destruction of more than 67,000 ships in the crowded trading hub of Jita on June 7. EVE Online: Empyrean Age [http://www.massively.com/2008/06/07/67-000-plus-dead-in-jita-cause-unknown/] expansion, which will implement a significant new focus on military aspects of the game.
