Support a Great Cause, Score Some Sweet Swag

Bethesda is auctioning off some very cool, one-of-a-kind Fallout, Rage and Brink swag on eBay, with all proceeds going to the Brian Wood Memorial Trust [http://www.brianwoodmemorialtrust.com/].

Brian R. Wood, a designer at Relic Entertainment and one of the principal people behind the killed [http://community.companyofheroesgame.com/] in September when his vehicle was struck head-on by an intoxicated driver while traveling through Washington State. His wife Erin, who was six months pregnant at the time, said Wood swerved his SUV at the last second, taking the brunt of the collision himself and saving her and their unborn child.

Shortly after his death the Brian Wood Memorial Trust was established to help Erin and her baby cope with his loss and now Bethesda [http://www.bethsoft.com] is giving gamers a chance to help out a great cause while scoring some truly sweet loot at the same time. The company has been collecting unique items over the past couple of months to auction on eBay, and today the action begins. Check it!

Team-signed copy of Fallout: New Vegas (Xbox 360) [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300494008908]
Team-signed Fallout 3 Poster [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300494007546]

Team-signed Fallout: New Vegas Lithograph (All Roads) [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300494011799]
Fallout: New Vegas NCR T-Shirt [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300494012848]

Be warned: This stuff isn't cheap. Actually, the signed copy of Fallout: New Vegas for the Xbox 360 is sitting at $51, which is pretty reasonable considering that the game normally lists on GameStop for 60 bucks, but you're kidding yourself if you think that price is going to stay there. The auction action began today and runs for seven days, so clear some room on the ol' credit card and have at it!

I might actually try for that neon sign.

Probably going to regret it later, but screw it, it would look amazing in my house.

is brink or rage even out yet? who would pay for a signed poster of a game that they have no idea is good yet, the bobblehead is the only thing on there i would be interested in, i would definitely put in a bid if it was signed by Chris Avellone (fallout 2 designer and the guy behind the bible), i know its for a good cause, but it seems like some pretty weak swag, what about some of the promotional items or unique things, thing that cant be replicated, the posters fill the last criteria, but its just so average, what about the big ass dinosaur they had at E3, or a bug free copy of new vegas.

that could bring in a couple thousand dollars.

It's pretty awesome, but I don't want to start bidding just yet because I know that the prices are going to be up to around $500 pretty soon and I just don't have that kind of money for swag... although that neon sign is beyond cool...

And Brian Wood was one of the most badass guys ever. I really wish I had the money for this...

I want that neon sign so badly, but it's so expensive... *sobs*

Screw it, I'm at least bidding for the New Vegas poster. I must own that, at least.

This is awesome. I'd love to see developers do more stuff like this - sell off signed or one of a kind stuff to help a good cause, like maybe a charity or something.

And like true Bethesda fashion its probably only for Americans just like any other promotion, contest or really great DLC they've ever provided in the history in their existance.

"We will ship internationally." Apparently not.

And when have they ever released a DLC that was limited to the US (or even North America)?
