Question of the Day, January 9, 2011

A sculptor-engineer made a version of Guitar Hero that you play with fire [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/106768-Interactive-Sculpture-Sets-Guitar-Hero-on-Fire]. Would you risk playing it?

...Oh dear god. I want one of those. In my backyard. Right now.
I do believe we've found the best way to roast marshmallows ever.

Hell yes.
That is one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

Then again, fire+ anything = cool.

This is pretty much the same as Tesla Coil music...

Sorry, it takes a lot to impress me.

I'm a pyromaniac, so this should really appeals to me. But it looks pretty lame...

No, but that's something Motley Crue or Def Leppard might wanna look at. They're all big on that pyromania thing.

I fear the fire would distract me from actually paying attention to the notes that the game wanted me to play. Now, if the notes display could be included in the device somehow...

OH HELL YEAH! And I agree with Neonbob. I want one in my backyard, I don't care if it violates city ordinances!

I would not play Guitar Hero on a plane, I would not play Guitar Hero on a train. And I certainly wouldn't play it with fire.

Maybe, but only with proper precautions it would probably still get boring after a few times. However, if they made a Guitar Hero games with the Brutal Legend sound track, or the same idea I've had for years where they have 500-1000 songs online, then when you buy the game it comes with a code to download 50-100 or whatever, then you can pay more for the rest, then yeah I'd probably buy/play it. That way I wouldn't be stuck with 2-3 songs I liked and the rest being meh-crap.

Guitar Hero games aren't really for me, so no, I wouldn't.
