#7: since when have Boss battle been a good thing?

Heck one of the most things I enjoyed in ALL Assassin's Creed game was that they DON'T have any frakking boss battles, damnit.

I enjoy boss battles, but they do seem out of place in Assasssin's Creed. I really feel like the first game was the only one to really capture the assassin part of the title. Getting your info and then plotting your way in to get close to your target, killing them and then escaping was thrilling. The later games had so much more combat that was pretty easy for the most part that it felt more like a hack and slash game rather than a game about assassination. Admittedly I've only played up to Black Flag, so maybe Unity or Syndicate lessened that a bit. IDK.

This could be interesting. Seems like they've actually made the gameplay interesting and different instead of just heaping on more cumbersome mechanics.

But pleeeease tell me escort missions are gone!

Gotta agree with the other commenters on the assassination vs boss battles issue. The first AC did feel like an assassin game, even if the whole info gathering and infiltration phase was just a string of linear missions. Maybe giving the player a bit more freedom on how to approach and assassinate the target, Hitman-style, would be a better way to advance the series. But then again, maybe it's just that we are ignorant and wrestling giant snakes was the way assassinations worked in the ancient Egypt.

So for the most part they just made AC blander by making it more like Far Cry? Swell.

And what's up with that giant snake anyway? Are they trying to out God of War God of War?

Get your Dark Souls out of Assassin's Creed

Seriously if I want to play Assassin's Creed I want to play Assassin's Creed
If I want to play Dark Souls I go grab a beer as I don't want to play Dark Souls!

Just cause a game is popular doesn't mean all other games must become it
