Blizzard Hiring for "Unannounced Game"

Blizzard has a new, unannounced game coming down the pipeline.

Currently, we know that Blizzard Entertainment is working on the second and third parts of the Titan [http://www.amazon.com/Starcraft-II-Wings-Liberty-Pc/dp/B000ZKA0J6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303062304&sr=8-1]. According to a job posting, the company may also have a fifth title in development.

GameSpot noticed that Blizzard is hiring a software engineer [http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/careers/posting.html?id=100007N] for an "Unannounced Game Title." The listing is separate from the "Next-Gen MMO," which refers to Titan, and all other Blizzard titles in development.

The listing writes: "Blizzard Entertainment is on the hunt for a creatively minded and talented individual to serve as tools engineer for its newest game team. This is a key role on a new and exciting project within the company."

Blizzard is definitely working on unannounced Blizzard launch schedule [http://www.amazon.com/World-Warcraft-Battle-Chest-Mac/dp/B000H96C9M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1303062313&sr=8-2] gives us the only clue we may have, with a rumored project listed as StarCraft II: Phoenix scheduled to make an appearance in late 2011.

As seen on the Product Slate, SChoenix might be a top-down shooter as a Phoenix killing off zerg in a Stand-alone game, or some kind of custom map (pack).

I'm betting $20 it is Diablo 4. A normal game company would start the next game in the series while the previous is in the final stages.

Warcraft 4 would be amazing but I doubt they'd use anyone other than their main staff for that one

There were blue posts(Blizzard) years ago saying there would be no Warcraft 4 as all Warcraft stories would be played out through WoW. Even seeing the schedule that was leaked last year it looks like that is the direction they want to take.

judging by that, its not a shooter

judging by the next 3 WoW X-pacs, its not Warcraft

Starcraft Pheonix is more likely either another line of starcraft figurines, or a sequel to Shadow of the Zelnaga

Oh...well, denial it is then! Until I see this new game in retail, I'm going to pretend it's Warcraft4, and that the cool established characters didn't repeatedly get murdered by nameless pricks.

Well, most of their IPs are good, let's see if anything comes out of this.

I doubt it'll be WC4 guys, remember Blizzard most likely has plans for 2 more expansions in WoW, and we're barely into Cata, if it is WC4 it won't be out for at least 5-6 years till WoW is finished and if it's even finishing then, there's not much to do after the defeat of Sargeras.
I'd be more inclined to say it'll be a new IP or an "off-shoot" Warcraft title covering things WoW doesn't.

This is a brand new IP, guys, it does not exist in any of the universes in which Blizzard's released games take place.
