8 Games We'd Love to Play in Virtual Reality

With virtual reality finally coming to fruition, it's time to think about games we'd like to use it for. These eight are some of our favorites.

I agree with Pokemon and Silent Hill. Never played Mirror's Edge, so no idea. I do know Yahtzee says jumping from a 1st person perspective is obnoxiously hard, so I'm hesitant.
I'd actually like to see Strong Bad's Cool Game 4 Attractive People and the Amnesia games in VR. And maybe FTL. Despite my absolute abhorrence for that game, it might be fun to be actually sitting in the command chair and ordering the ship around like those 90s Star Trek fleet games.

But you know what would be hardcore? Hotline Miami is VR! Lets see if people actually get PTSD from throwing boiling water in a mans face then disemboweling him with a hunting knife.

What? No lightsabers? No X-wing vs Tie fighter? Come on, if there was any game that was made for VR it is any Star Wars game, heck even that SWTOR would be improved with lightsabers and shooting and generally blowing things up.

More specifically, he says first-person platforming is difficult because in most first-person games you don't see your own legs and thus don't know for sure where you are going to land, which is not the case with Mirror's Edge.

Dishonored had an enjoyable art style?

Wat.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure any frickin game would be more awesome in VR.

Why did I not think of lightsabers?!?! What the hell is wrong with me?

Who in their right mind would want to play a VR Silent Hill!? That creepy Amnesia-esque corridor walk of doom with the Oculus Rift was scary enough :(((

The Metro games would serve well, I believe.
Plus anything with dinosaurs. Extra points if we can ride them.

Pokemon for certain ... oh man that'd be sick.

You know how insanely popular that would be if Pokemon Virtual Reality became a thing??
Guess what most developers are focusing on with the virtual head sets? Porn ... i'm not even kidding lol.
They evidently really like money more than artist experimentation. There certainly is a sickening amount of cash in those saucy endeavours.

You know what I really expect? Shopping. Imagine a shopping-mall obsessed person with access to explore a VR mall without leaving home. Talk about your impulse buys.

Silent Hill in virtual reality? Sorry, but no. I'm happy enough living without suffering from post-traumatic disorder. Thank you very much.

Top that with a program called "Google Malls" where you're actually visiting real life malls, from your house... and you see what this mall has. Let's say in the Ontario Mills Mall, you're virtually seeing what's currently there- and come across a certain shirt within the mall. By taking off the virtual device, you can now actually go to that mall and get the shirt you wanted, since you know where it's at and had the clerks hold onto it for you.

......... Either that's genius or really showing how lazy humanity is getting.
Forget going to get it. You drop it in your virtual shopping bag, and when you finish shopping, you just hit buy and your card is charged and everyone is shipped to you automatically.

I imagine people would spend days doing nothing but rubbing their pokemon in virtual reality and stuffing them with cupcakes.
