Eh. I didn't regret my time with it. It was no MW2 and certainly no CoD 4, but it was the last CoD game that I actually have fond memories of, since I didn't ever pick up BO2.

But still, I'm glad to see the games that were actually good get the recognition they deserve. People might mock CoD for being formulaic and overdone, but people seem to forget that CoD became popular for a reason.

The only scene that I thought was pretty interesting was the one in Chernobyl.

The rest kind of bored me, and that nuke scene did nothing for me. I'm really not into shooters anyways, but the only reason I played MW1, MWII, and Black-Ops was to see what the deal was. Black-Ops I liked, and I really enjoyed the river boat scene with "Sympathy for the Devil" being played. The rest I didn't care for.

Maybe if I was more invested into the series those moments might have hit me harder.

The world may never know.

1) Personally, I think the end of Modern Warfare 3 was the most memorable moment from that game. Over the top insanity death of main villain is over the top.

2) I liked the sniper mission more. Hearing Reznov yell, "No scope? Nice!" was amazing when I pulled it off.

3) I do like the fact that you can change the ending, but it raises some serious questions for me. One, didn't they think to check for a pulse? You shot him in the leg, so if anything, I would think Mason would at least be groaning in agony, if not screaming. But no, he's just a lifeless body. And how did he get captured anyway, and then manage to escape completely unnoticed? And finally--and even the game asks this question--"Where the hell (has he) been?"

4) Oh, good level. Very good level. Played to death by copycats now, but man when it first appeared...whoo.

5) Literally jumped up and yelled, "NO!" when it happened. I then played the game nonstop until I drove a knife into Shepard's eye after murdering his two wounded pilots. No mercy for any of them.

6) So far, the best Call of Duty level ever made. I'm curious if I will ever come across another level that can manage to top it.

7) "I died? I died! I'm not suppose to die!"

8) By the time I played Call of Duty, I had already been spoiled by what the later games could do, so the original didn't pack that much of a punch for me. But I do remember that level, and the thing that stuck with me the most were the lies coming out of the commander's mouth as you are riding in the boat. "You will be well supplied. You will have food, you will have water. What do you think the Germans have? Nothing!"
Yeah...not so much.

I'd have replaced that farce with the Saving Private Ryan ripoff D-Day scene from 2. That was on par with the Enemy at the Gates ripoff scene from 1.
MW3 was pretty stupid and it's plot was full of holes, even for a CoD game. However, some of the missions were quite good. Both of the missions in Paris were beautifully done, as was "Dust to Dust". It's too bad they couldn't have built a better game around the missions that were well done.

I am kind of annoyed that there wasn't much love given to the games prior to MW, which had their share of awesome moments as well.

This list could very well be named as "Here's why COD 4 was fucking awesome".

And I'm glad I can relieve the "Ghillied Up" atmosphere in the Stalker and Metro series :)

Agree with all the COD4 moments, I would have also put down the final scene from "Game Over" in COD4. Choosing Mason's fate in Blops 2 is also a good one, but honestly the path where you save him never made any damn sense to me.

Definitely enjoyed killing him, but quite frankly killing Shepard will always be my favorite endgame moment in the MW series. Just felt so much more satisfying to kill that man.

Well unfortunately that's what happens when you lose half of your development team and your writer. Can't help but feel MW3 would have been a much better game if Activation didn't gut Infinity Ward.

Annnnnddd... Nothing from Black Ops. Are you guys kidding me? It had 2 VERY memorable moments. Vorkuta and Revelations. (Second to last mission where you learn what the heck happened to you.)

Bad move, comrades.
