So this is what bugs me about this article. It doesn't really get down to serious analysis on why any of these games rubs the author the wrong way. Some really superficial thought on the subject suggests to me that the author doesn't dislike the multiplayer part of Gears of War because of the single-player mode he acknowledges he could just ignore but for some other, entirely unexplored reason. Maybe Super Mario Galaxy isn't intended for people who have been playing video games for over 20 years. All we have is a hit list of games that are very popular, but the author dislikes. We all know someone who dislikes the things we love. How does this article make anyone aware of anything that they weren't already?
