Tricia Helfer Plays Black Cat In New Spider-Man Game

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1065454/].

Helfer said she's already familiar with the Black Cat and has voiced the character previously for Command & Conquer 3 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spectacular_Spider-Man_(TV_series)] games.

Black Cat is expected to have a fairly prominent role in the game, but numerous other Spider-Man regulars will also be making appearances, including The Kingpin, Mary Jane Watson, Vulture, Venom and many others. True to the comics, Black Cat's relationship with Spider-Man appears to be complicated; the trailer shows her both sucking face with the web-head and beating the crap out of him. Since she is only providing a voice-over...add nothing else...does Activision expect this to translate as extra sales? Not sure how this is worthy of a Press Release....and I like Tricia, but...er...so what?

She also portrayed Nod General Kilian Qatar in the Command & Conquer 3 games.

Right up until Kane had her shot in the face. Tee hee hee.
Still, she was fairly average in C&C3 I thought. Not a great actor by any means. Haven't seen her in BG so I can't comment, but maybe she'll pull off a good job for Spiderman.

And then maybe I'll gain psychic powers and rule the world.
