Watch Ibuki, Hugo and Raven Pummel Everything in Street Fighter X Tekken

Learn to tag, juggle and team up on opponents in this handy Street Fighter X Tekken tutorial video.

If you're freaked out by fighting game terminology but absolutely must have Street Fighter X Tekken [http://www.amazon.com/Street-Fighter-X-Tekken-Xbox-360/dp/B003O6G6RI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1313439609&sr=8-2], you could do worse than to watch this new gameplay trailer explaining the ins and outs of the new crossover. The video also gives us a few new characters from the game's roster: Ibuki and Hugo join the SF camp, with Raven repping Team Tekken. It also features a grizzly bear farting on Guile's face.

Most of us probably don't know what using a cross gauge to initiate a switch cancel even means, so the handy visual guides shown here should help scrubs understand the basics of SFxTK's two-man tag team system. From the looks of it, cooperation is important to pounding opponents into the floor here, even more so than Marvel vs. Capcom 3's 3v3 matches. Team combos involve using each fighter's specific abilities together for lengthy, crippling combos. In theory, each duo should have its own unique co-op special, which could get out of control when mixing ranged and melee specialists.

Street Fighter X Tekken comes out for Xbox 360, PS3 and Vita in 2012.

Still... I am more amped up for this, than say MvC. Though I am not so keen on the Street fighter graphic stylings, but meh, what can you do? What I would have rather seen is Namco licensing out their engine and letting capcom dev for it because while the SFIV engine is vastly improved over previous incarnation its still graphically behind the curve of everything else in the genre.

So this game really boils down to yet another street fighter game with a different supporting/secondary cast, which I find disappoint.

I was going to talk about the fighting system and everything but after Poison was announced I can only wonder if she will be called a man in the North American release.

Oh goodness. The video preview of Guile's face on Kuma's behind is burnt into my retinas.

Despite not really seeing anyone I'm mad interested in playing as, I can't help but be excited for this game. Seeing that all these kuh-razy things they've been pulling off in the trailers actually seem doable may be a contributing factor.

Also...

You are aware they're making Tekken X Street Fighter, which is gonna be made by Namco so will probably use the Tekken engine, right?

Actually not a huge fighting game afficianado , so I was not aware as I dont keep up on info regarding fighters nearly as much as other genres though I still like a good fighter now and again.

If that is the case then yes, personally I will hold off for that incarnation. Besides Capcom has already built the same game how many times now?

I'm waiting for some good solid gameplay of Tekken x Street Fighter. It'll be neat to see how well that works out. I somehow see it being a lot harder to put Street Fighter characters into a Tekken game than Tekken characters into a Street Fighter game.

I am so glad to see Poison and Hugo in this game! Poison is rather hot...no matter the gender.

I'm glad they added Raven in there. It would make a good ninja vs ninja match against Ibuki.

I knew Hugo would be added after seeing the trailer in Capcom Unity. Him and Poison would make a perfect team.

Kuma's special move is a fart? What??? I'm still hope the game will feature Panda's alternate colors.

Me too. I'm still waiting for Namco Bandai's version of their crossover. I hope they're still working on it even though they have other fighting games in the works (Nartuo UNS Generation, Tekken Tag 2, Soul Calibur V, Dragon Ball Ultimate Tenkaichi).

So much goodness. I'm still waiting on Xiaoyu and Juri to be announced, but even the cast so far makes this a definite day one buy for me, no questions asked. New fun systems that harken back to some of the best elements of Tekken Tag and the SFA series, with some of the wild combo potential of the Vs series without going quite as far into the "ZOMG Too much stuff happening!!!" brain explosion factor of MvC3. Yes please.

I must admit I'm saddened by the general dislike and misunderstanding of fighting games, as evidenced by most of this thread so far, but I guess it's what I've come to expect.

I have a feeling that this game is being hyped to insane lengths. Though it is nice to see the new fighting system and I REALLY hope Cole Mcgrath isn't mentioned in promotional stuff just because it seems like a really stupid idea...but then again Kratos was in Mortal Kombat.

It's a proven fact that Poison is the most successful sex change operation ever, seeing as most usually get most but the face right. Then again maybe he was a very female looking man, like Bridget.

Don't forget the Capcom DLC. They excluded a few characters, like Dan, which pretty much guarantees he'll be coming in as DLC or addition with the "SxT: Turbo Arcade Edition", or both...
Oh come on,who plays as Dan anyway.

Nobody,that's who.

They killed Dan off in the SFxT universe(not the main SF universe just this crossover universe) in one of the trailers so unless he's Evil Dan(which would be hilarious) it's not likely he would even come back in a new update.

No Lili, no sale.
*crosses arms and waits patiently*

Also, Poison, a completely different kind of trap.

I'm honestly more excited for Tekken x Street Fighter (the one that uses a battle system more like Tekken) but this looks pretty good right now.

[quote="cursedseishi" post="7.307148.12369653"

Actually Poison was female, but for international releases she was made a "newhalf" or hermaphrodite (thats what the wiki is labeling her as, but Poison was definitely female at first).
[/quote]

Poison was a girl in Japan, but parents in the US were concerned about their kids beating up a girl in video games, so they made her a transvestite.

And since when is Poison from Street Fighter?!
