Link Goes Exploring in Skyward Sword Video Blowout

Nintendo is apparently very keen to show you as much of Skyward Sword as possible before it comes out.

With the release of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BSC54I/ref=s9_simh_gw_p63_d0_g63_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1VTT7WPZ5AH7CQ4HTXGP&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846] mere weeks away, Nintendo has turned up the promotional media machine to "deluge" and released three new videos showing Link discovering one of the game's earliest temples, as well as showing off the opening cinematic in its entirety.

As is often the case in Zelda games, the back story is filled with evil creatures appearing and generally making life miserable for everyone. The art style used is somewhere between cave paintings and water colors, aided by the rather impressive orchestral soundtrack.

The second video shows Link exploring Faron Wood, as well as meeting its denizens, both friendly and unfriendly. Link seems a lot more nimble than he has in previous Zelda games, helped in no small part by his new dash ability.

Finally, there's the Sky Temple, a seemingly odd name for an underground structure, but whatever. We've seen snippets of this temple before, and a lot of the fight at the end with Ghiharim.

While none of the videos are very long, there's still quite a lot of content there. It's almost getting to the point where it feels like the game holds very few surprises any more. That's not a great place to be with six weeks still to go before it comes out.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword comes out for Wii on November 20th.

Does seem like they arnt holding back for this one, saying that im trying my best at limiting how much i hear and how much i see since getting my hands on it at GC11. I know the plot is going to be something akin to the others, but hey, i liked to be surpised if they dont.

I respectfully disagree. We only know the basic plot, and what the first temple is. Sure, we've been introduced to Ghirahim and know his motives, but we don't know WHO he is.

Really, it seems like we know next to nothing. We don't know what plot twists they could throw at us.

You mean the spoiler that the first dungeon is the Forest Dungeon? It's not like Zelda games have ever done that before, right?

It's not like the videos were solving puzzles for us, just gave as a brief peek at some of Link's new moves and arsenal. It wasn't a walkthrough or anything.
