Right now I can't put up any pics of the current prototype for the 3DS, but I will probably later this week.

Cons

I find the placement of the telescopic stylus questionable (it's right next to the cartridge slot ala DSi XL), as with the addition of a home button. I thought that what the DSi did was enough (tap power button to go to home screen, hold to power off), and I'm fairly certain I'm gonna hit the power button instead of start for the first couple of times.

Pros

But I like where they put the 3D slider so that you won't accidentally move it up or down. I like that they put in an analog stick, and put it where the control pad was so that controlling movement (I assume that button movement will be handled by the analog stick, if not by the touch screen) feels familiar. Absolutely loving the backwards compatability, hope it gets into the final model.

Speculation

It seems that the 3DS will be able to play 3D movies at some point, seeing as trailers for 3D movies were part of the demo, and a small hidden part of the Nintendo 3DS demo area contained 3D versions of NES and SNES titles, like The Legend Of Zelda, Punch-Out!!, Metroid, Kid Icarus and more.

Hopes

I really hope that they eventually add the option to download something to be able to make DS/DSi games 3D.

Keep in mind I wasn't at E3, but Nintendo Power has close up photos of it, front and back as well as saying what goes where, as well as a small column on what was demo'ed.

Hold on... you've never actually used it yet? I'm confused... have you used it or are you just making this opinion out of the pictures?

pictures mean nothing, how a device actually performs can only be speculated byt the study of the hardware and software used or by practical tests, you did none of this so I don't see how any of this is valid
