Except that our eyes don't see by frames per second. You're confusing the fact that 24 FPS is the industry standard for movies and TV and somehow making it into a statistic about how our eyes work, when really it's just a matter of not wanting to spend more money on extra film for extra frames that they don't need since your average movie-goer is unlikely to notice the difference.Arfonious said:Why does the FPS matter so much to people?
The eye can only see about 25 different pictures per second anyway.
And the kid turns out to be Twilight princess link.Atmos Duality said:Well, at least it's one more reason to use my 3DS.
It'd be nice to have a reason that ISN'T Mario Zelda Pokemon...but that's Nintendo for you.

I didn't think those were supposed to be direct sequels or even related to LttP. Never the less I'm still leery about this.AdamG3691 said:you know, apart from the oracle series and LA ;Pcanadamus_prime said:I'm already shocked by the fact that this game is even being made and not pleasantly either. A Link to the Past's ending didn't really leave room for a direct sequel, how the hell are they shoehorning this thing in? I cringe at the thought of how many retcons are going into this.
there's a space of time between the end of LttP and OoS/OoA that Hyrule Historia calls "The Era of Light and Dark" where link was the triforce's errand boy (and it's the same link, not a different one), during his two final trials to save holodrum and labrynna, ganon gets brought back to life and he goes to look for a method of killing ganon for good, gets caught in a storm, and Link's Awakening happens.
don't you think it's odd how they released OoS/OoA, the two games that are direct sequels to LttP RIGHT before E3?
I'm guessing that the story will tie into what link did in that time and possibly have a couple of references to the oracles (it'd be interesting if we got to see onox and veran again, veran was such an interesting villain, she's second only to girahim in the amount of time she interacts with link directly)
No, thinking the same thing + that Nintendo is getting more and more lazy by the - well, by what? Every console generation? every new thing they get out? The second?cidbahamut said:Am I the only person who doesn't want this game?
Link to the Past was a complete experience and doesn't need a sequel.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I can speak on why the games producer is using the "60 fps in 3D mode" thing as a selling point.Arfonious said:I didn't realise that you all felt so strongly about this.
Even if it does matter I do not understand why it's a selling point
A game on the 3ds is not going to impress graphily anyway
I don't get it. It's another bloody Zelda. In a long line of other bloody Zeldas. I can understand if you really enjoyed the very first legend of Zelda and then Zelda 2 was going to come out on the SNES and it made you want to go buy the SNES. But we've had 65 Zeldas and now you're all hyped for the sequel to Zelda #12? And what? With a twist? Gasp! The sassy pirate was actually Princess Zelda... vhat a tvist!Olrod said:I think I just had a nerdgasm.
If I didn't already own a 3DS, I'd be buying one just to play "A Link to the Past 2" on it!
I stopped playing the Zelda series after Ocarina of Time. I did play whichever one it was where you had to sail around the islands (may have been Wind Waker?) and Phantom Hourglass, but I didn't really enjoy either of those.Pebkio said:I don't get it. Wait, he said "shock". MAYBE it'll actually cause slight electrocution if you get caught by the electricity traps in the game.
That does make sense, the 3D always made my head and eyes hurtVigormortis said:I can't speak for anyone else, but I can speak on why the games producer is using the "60 fps in 3D mode" thing as a selling point.Arfonious said:I didn't realise that you all felt so strongly about this.

Simply put, at sixty frames per second the screen motion will look drastically smoother than at thirty frames. What this will lead to is a much smoother, less disorienting look to the 3D. An issue many have had with the 3D on the 3DS.
It's sad that it's taken this long for a dev to get a game running (on the 3DS) with smooth framerates while the 3D is enabled, but at least someone's finally done it.
