This is one specifically for my UK friends out there.

In the movie Shawn of the Dead, in the scene where Shawn is going to collect his mother and step father, Shawn's mom refers to some of his things getting thrown away and how she would have liked to send them to "the Jumble" (sorry if that's spelled wrong or I miss heard that).

What is "the Jumble"?

for my friends That are not from the UK and know what I'm talking about, what is your equivalent to a Jumble?

I haven't personally seen the film, but I'm thinking based on context that "The Jumble" is short for "jumble sale". This is basically an event where second hand items are sold for charity. Wikipedia tells me the US equivalent is a "rummage sale".
