As I turn on my psp to realise my game of assasins creed bloodlines has drained my battery in sleep mode for the past month, and I stare at my pile of psp games gathering dust, I realise that only certain games have entice me for more than say 3 hours, on both psp and ds.

Games like

Half minute hero
Mario and lugi
and Advance wars

SO, my request to you guys is, can you reccomend any games similar to ones above. I guessed the good name for it would be relaxed. Mario and lugi was a fun rpg that didnt rely ons stats and stuff like that, and it was funny, I like to chuckle. And advance wars was a fairly relaxed strategy game.

In short, can you reccomend a PSP (Ive stopped playing ds, so no mario and lugi 3) that is

Relaxing
Easy to play
Preferably humourous
Preferably Rpg or strategy

I was looking into valkyrie chronicles 2 and phantasy star portable, but I dont have enough to spend on a £30 game, as im pre-ordering the special edition of fable 3

Thanks

Can't go wrong with Riviera: The Promised Land.

Should be cheap, if you can find it.

A light-hearted RPG, simple combat. Nice little bit of exploration in the dungeons.

The Ratchet and Clank series is all those (except RPG/Strategy), and you can probably get them very cheap now.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite!

Wait, easy and relaxing... crap.

Patapon!

Crap, that's hard too.

Well I've heard good things about Persona 3 Portable, haven't played it myself though.

Pick up Patapon sometime though.

Can't go wrong with Lumines, dude. Tetris and music, what's bad about it?

I mean, can you disagree with a girl that is from the moon, was born in the future, and has never been to Earth?

Parappa the Rappa.

I've only played the PlayStation version, but I think the PSP version is almost exactly the same. Don't quote me on that...

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker...

...

...What? I find David Hayter's voice and Big Boss's glorious body to be very relaxing.

Good choice, unfortunately I already have it, got it on release and me and my friend played it to death.

Given what you like, you'd probably enjoy The Legend of the Fat Princess: Fistfuls of Cake. It's a strategy game and it's hysterical. :D

Going on your preference for RPG and strategy:

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is a pretty fun game that you can sit back and relax, even in some of the more tense fights. I'm half way through it and it's been a fun play through so far.

And this is gonna come as no surprise from anyone that knows me but; Dissidia, just get it, it's so damn good that you're doing yourself and your PSP an injustice by not having it. Hell even if you don't normally like fighting games you're bound to get enjoyment out of this game. So much content and so much replay value....unless you wanna wait a couple months for the inevitably AWESOME sequel due this spring.

Crimson Gem Saga and Hexyz force are another two great RPG with a nice light hearted and charming story with fairly simple but satisfying gameplay. CGS should be pretty cheap and I'm sure Haxyz Force has dropped quite a bit as it was more of a sleeper title.

Crisis Core is definitely worth a go if you liked what little you played. Great story, lovable characters, and the gameplay aint half bad if you can forgive the awkward slot machine thing.

Then there is Disgaea 1 and 2, funny, charming, and addictive SRPGs that are bound to eat of crap tons of your time. And don't forget Final Fantasy Tactics remake and there is the upcoming Tactics Ogre: Wheel of Fate remake.

Another bit of a sleeper title is Jeanne D'arc which is also an SRPG with rock solid gameplay, great historical twist, and charming characters.

I could name off dozens of games but I'm sure these selections would do for now.

If you like FF then Dissidia is a good option... ish...

Lord of the Rings Tactics is one of my favourites, I think it has replay value.

Star Wars Battlefront II because running around shooting things never gets old.

And thats about the only 3 good PSP games I've ever owned...
