A few months ago, I obtained a copy of BFBC2. I had been playing Mw2 since August, and I enjoyed it. Then I decided I wanted something better.

By now, I've unlocked pretty much everything in bfbc2, and downloaded the vietnam expansion pack (amazing, btw). For the most part, I really loved the tactical gameplay; it felt more real than COD. My one problem with bfbc2 was the campaign. It really wasn't that awesome.

And that's when I slipped back. I started suffering from COD withdrawal, and now I eagerly await mw3. I must admit, I'm gonna get it for the singleplayer, because as bad as the story was in mw2, the campaign was still awesome, filled with spectacular set pieces and [occasionally] gorgeous visuals. And then I started regaining interest in MW2's multiplayer--and I suddenly realized that the only reason I hated Call of Duty before was that it was not what it said it was. It called itself a realistic military shooter, which it was not in any way. What it is is an arcade shooter, and an incredibly good one at that. I had previously expected something of it that it didn't have, when really I wasn't appreciating it for what it was...

But I don't plan to suck Bobby Kotick's dick this year, and infinity ward is falling apart. I won't be buying mw3 this year. I will want to, but I mustn't support the most obnoxious company since Disney.
