I say we deserve it. Jut look at all the 360 exclusive games, not just DLC, that us PS3 owners don't get to play. Although I do plan on getting a 360 once I have some extra spending money.

and i dislike day one DLC.
Normally I do too but this dlc is free and if the game is anything like AC2, it will be well worth the intro price.
I can't feel too sorry for the 360ers either, they don't have to wait for the Fallout Vegas DLC... but they will have to beta-test it for everybody like they did with F3.

On the subject of Copernicus: at the end of AC2, you get to scale the Castle St Angelo which is the place the church imprisoned Copernicus in. I'm wondering if our interactions are pre or post incarceration: he was still allowed visitors in St Angelo.

Having played it, I say it's pretty interesting. First, you save Copernicus from being killed with a relatively long fight. After saving him, you take on certain missions, which is basically warning his fellow scholars about the plot against them. There are twists to saving them, which makes it less predictable than, say, "warn him, then escort him somewhere safe". The whole DLC isn't "long", but it adds more intrigue to the overall story.
