i work at a movie theatre, so i deal with these kinds of dickheads all the time. if you don't want to leave, just turn around and tell them to shut the hell up; i've seen it happen and people will worship you as a god. if that doesn't work, tell the theatre employees. we have security officers who are also off-duty cops who are spectacularly bored and would love to kick some punk out of the theatre.

Oh God, me too! It took all my willpower just to keep myself from ripping their throats open. I mean, nobody's forcing you to like the movie, just don't be a jerk and ruin it for everyone else who actually might.

I once had a black woman right in the aisle in front of me profess her love of watermelon gum. It was funny at first and I tried not to laugh but then it kept going on and on. I didn't do anything about it though because I was too intimidated. Anyone else though and I would've kindly asked them to shut the hell up.

People who block the screen, especially in a movie with subtitles. Seriously, that has got to be sin number one for the movies.

I went to go see Inglorious Bastards with my dad in a very VERY small movie theatre. We had great seats, which were couches [sub](yes, COUCHES)[/sub]. It was great. But there was in old lady up front, who had a hat on, blocking the bottom half of the screen. It wouldn't have been TOO much of a problem, but since half the movie was in German and French subtitles, I couldn't understand a damn thing they were saying. I had to rely on context. And I couldn't have said "Down in front" or something because:

A) She was an old lady. You just don't do that to an old lady.
B) She was kind of far away, so you had to raise your voice to get to her, which would disturb the other members of the audience.

No screeching in scary films. Come on! It's not exactly suprising, of COURSE it jumped out at her! Are you thick or something?

and NO repeating catchphrases

When I saw Casino Royale, you know that bit at the end where he utters the immortal "Bond, James Bond" line? A guy to the right and a few rows up said it aloud along with Daniel Craig, but screwed up the timing and ruined the "Awesome" vibe for everyone

What an obnoxious prat

If I go to a movie with three friends and we get seats next to each others and my friend X,who happens to be the one on the other end, have the snacks, is whispering quite loud bad then?

Yes.

Life outside the cinema is busy, noisy and irritating. For those two hours in that dark room with the screen and loads of speakers, all I ask is that people can control themselves.

Seriously, it's two hours, I just want people TO SHUT THE FUCK UP. I'm pretty sure they could go somewhere else and be annoying, and it wouldn't cost them £10........why in Christs name do they choose the one place where it's most irritating?

People are dicks, so I rarely bother myself dealing with them any more.

Whenever you watch ''serious'' movies where the major genre is horror or drama and you get some kids who sneak in and because they're too ''cool'' to admit that the movie is actually emotional or scary they try to laugh or take the piss out of it... Which is really annoying..
