Activision May Have Confirmed a Modern Warfare Remaster with a Poop Emoji

We've seen games confirmed in many different ways, but using a poop emoji is something completely different.

There have been a lot of rumors swirling about the next Call of Duty, from the title to the reveal date [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/167267-Call-of-Duty-Infinite-Warfare-Reveal-Rumored-for-Next-Week]. Yesterday, word was that the new game would include a remastered version of Call of Duty 4.

Today, Activision has apparently confirmed this in the strangest way possible: with emoji. Back in December of 2014, a twitter user named "angus vanderslott" tweeted about the possibility of a remaster and what the consequences might be for his pants. The official Call of Duty account responded in a very...interesting way.

While you can't say that's a for-sure confirmation, it's definitely suggestive. It sounds like it'll be packed in with the new game, which is supposedly titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and is rumored to have a sci-fi theme [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/167055-Report-The-New-Call-of-Duty-Will-Be-Set-in-Space]. We may know more next week.

That being said I wouldn't mind a remastered CoD4. Yeah, the multiplayer was broken as hell, but the single player was remarkably solid, with a storyline that put it head and shoulders above the competition at the time. Don't know about it being packaged with the latest game though, I got bored of CoD a few years ago and have no interest in purchasing future titles.

I didn't make any reference to the quality of recent CoD games and the emoji they chose. I could have, but I didn't.

Tbh I'd pay a good ?30 for a remaster of the Modern Warfare trilogy complete with DLC, largely just for the co-op mode.

Maybe now people will realize that CoD4 is overrated garbage. I -love- Call of Duty, but 4 is bordered by better games in the series (besides 3 which was lame). You get like, 2 weapons, then hide when someone gets a helicopter killstreak. Yay fun...

All the MW Campaigns with reworked multiplayer and the best maps taken from each of them? Colour me sold.

I just play CoD for the campaign and on that front CoD 4 was quite good. Wouldn't mind a remastered version esp for some coop action. Need more good coop games for our LAN sessions.

If there is going to be remastered Modern Warfare games, we all know that it will be SP only. I was disappointed to learn that Uncharted had so much more content to offer that wasn't included in the Nathan Drake Collection.
