Adverts on the escapist

I am sure a few of us have seen the PS3 advert and it is getting in the way of my typing now

But if you are going to have adverts can you have a way to close or move them...

Is this right or am I just being a pain?

Actually as of right now, my internet can't load any of the images on the site. Its just blank white and blue spaces with words in them. And broken image links in all the places i know there are supposed to be adds and images.

But you could try getting AddBlocker for firefox... i've heard that works.

The only ads I see are the flash ads I can't block. It's primarily because I haven't figured out how to.

I don't see anything. And I don't even have AdBlocker. But I will definitely consider using it if the adverts around here get to be much more than they already are.

It's a bloody annoying ad that covers up half the screen and can't be closed. The problem may be browser dependent.

many people see diffrent adds than what you or I see. For example right now it's an add for the escapist sotre, wihch reminds me I need to buy something for a friend...

Anyway, the adds keep the escapist running, since they don't pop up inbetween posts or prevent me from viewing the site I don't mind them. However I thinks it's poor form to say you use and add blocker, I don't recall anybody ever being punished for it however.

You don't understand. This ad covers up half of the main menu. It's quite obviously a bug - if you saw it you'd get it.
