The reason the guy is "agoraphobic", I'm sure, is because of shit like this. I bet he used live a fruitful life outside his home, then he started acting like a douche and got his ass kicked a bunch.

this guy needs the judge to look at him and go "uh..no....get the fuck out you lost before you filed the lawsuits, get out, get the hell out!" for Sony, don't be an asshole, for RRoD, send it in, it's free you get a new console, for Wii, net has always been flaky, wait for the next update and call Nintendo. as for WoW...don't play the damn game if it isn't fun!!! ((that last one goes to ANY game EVER!))

But wait, there's more! To support his case, Estavillo has subpoenaed both Winona Ryder [http://www.depechemode.com/] to testify. "[Gore] will be a witness on 'alienation' and the ties it has to World of Warcraft, since he himself has been known to be sad, lonely, and alienated as can be seen in the songs he writes," he explained in an email to The Escapist.
well if he introduces him as the lead singer of Depeche Mode he'll be in a bit of trouble since David Gahan is the singer. Martin Gore is the lyricist.

damn growing up in the 80s and having girlfriends that loved Depeche Mode and would dance, grind and sing it to you while .... oh wait i was supposed to be cursing that memory. never mind i have good memories of Depeche Mode. i've got nothing bad to say about them at all

Brilliant theory! The Dante's Inferno campaign is going by the 9 circles of hell, however, not the 7 deadly sins. If Mass We Pray was heresy, the sixth circle, that leaves violence, fraud, and treachery.
Oh right. Well, shit.

Which circle is for assholes?
i do believe it's the burning circle :)

This guy is my hero, because as insane as it is for him to press legal action and as pathetic as he may be, he is absolutely right.

I have been banned for no stated reason from places, once right after registration and staff never followed up. The Xbox 360 and Nintendo firmware releases were indeed, terrible design flaws that should have been circumvented. (Buy a car with an engine that dies out within a year or be forced to install tires that explode and a recall/refund would be issued. The equivalent happens to a console and nothing happens.)

And MMORPGs are not games. You do not play them. You work. He is doing what I never had the courage to do and calling out developers for things are.

Somebody needs to tell this guy that it is not funny anymore.

If that fails, he may be one of those guys who just needs to be shot. Repeatedly.

Wow, how courageous can you get. What a man to have the courage to stand up for the little guy by demanding a million dollars for minor inconveniences. What a hero!

Seriously though, since when did suing a company for a sum of 1 million dollars become a proper substitute for NOT BUYING THE GAME YOU THINK IS BORING.

With WoW, he is basically trying to collect all of the 1 million in "suffering" by all the players all for himself as a sole party.

The first one was funny, the second bothered me, this third one just makes me kinda puke into my mouth a little bit.

I mean, he shares the same gene pool with all of us!

I read his argument, he basically says "This game is bad for people" and apparently his solution is "I should get money because this game is bad for people" which makes absolutely no sense. Even if WoW is bad for people, why should he cash in on problems other people have for the sum of $1 million? This is just getting sad.

It would seem like he's just a troubled guy if it weren't for those subpoenas. Common interest in a book? Alienation seen in song lyrics? They're not even related to gaming in any way!
Isn't the whole point of this economic system that he can go try a DIFFERENT MMO? If he's dissatisfied, try something else. Buying something then suing the creator for the product being not as fun as it should have been? Come the hell on.

Ok, this guy needs to be taken out to a back ally somewhere an beaten severely with a bat. Seriously, sueing Activision/Blizzard 'cause the games not fun enough?? Yeesh! This even surpasses the fat guy sueing the fast food places for making him fat in terms of lawsuit ridiculousness.

This guy needs a girlfriend. Unfortunately, he'd probably sue her for not cooking his favorite meals just right, or not putting out, or whatever.

Could someone explain me why the fact that this person is agoraphic is so important as to include it in every article headline? See also "Agoraphobic PS3 Owner Appeals Sony Lawsuit Loss" and "Agoraphobic PS3 Owner Sues Microsoft, Nintendo". What if the guy was epileptic, would that also make the headlines? Epileptic Sues Activision! Guy With Cancer Sues Sony! HIV Positive Sues Microsoft! I really don't see the sense in it.

All killing and mental jokes aside...

If he wins any of these (minus maybe the ps3 lawsuit), I'll lose faith in our justice system completely.

So either this man is a moron looking for attention and to be the first Agoraphobic Celebrity (lol), or maybe there's something bigger here (aside of this whole marketing gimmick).

To fuel the fire for conspiracy theorist against corporations, maybe a few of them got together somewhere, had a few drinks, and brainstormed on how to shed the image of being a big bad company who doesn't care about it's fans and have sympathy on their side for once. Their answer? Captain Agoraphobia who flies around the world in his underwear, using his Agoraphobic super powers to piss everyone off and sue all the big mean video game companies (biting the hand that feeds) and getting the internet public all stirred up by calling this one man an idiot and for once, siding with the mean men at Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft/Blizzard in one swoop around the Earth (Earth = House).

Just my two cents of course...

You know, I bet Blizzard and the subpoena'd parties can just ignore the case, he'll show up to court on his own expecting to win by default and the judge will brand him a vexatious litigant, fine him for wasting the court's time and have security chuck him out on his ass. This is so stupid it doesn't even deserve acknowledgement.

Wow... I really hope he buries himself in legal fees when these all get thrown out of court. What the hell is he going to sue next? The internet? I really want to know what crackpot of an attorney is taking his case(s).

Where the hell is Ezio Auditore when you need him?

Seriously though, this guy is just plain trolling.
