To any fellow Escapists who live in sourthern California like me, isn't the sky looking marvelous? I mean it was raining quite harshly as always today, and just a half hour ago the rain instantly stops, the sky clears up, and a nice, relaxing sunshine emerges and everything is drying up. Every time that happens it always cheers me up, like if everyone here will continue on to have a happier day.

Too bad I'm not going anywhere tonight as always.

So I ask all of you if there are any other natural occurences that make you feel great like I described above.

I still want it to rain. The reason is that now it's the weekend and I don't have too go anywhere so I can stay home and bundle up.

You're within five-hundred miles of me, I was just slammed by a storm yesterday, tornado warning and everything...

Things that make me feel as cheerful as you mentioned....
Sunsets from the massive hill not too far from my house.
Sunrise when waking up from a drunken stupor.
The ocean on a sunny day.
Scotland. Yes the whole of it. It a wonderful place to visit.

Dead Trees, as well as when trees look dead but are merely "Sleeping"

I love the way they look.

Natural sights? Thunderstorms. I love it when it's raining heavily and there's evil in the air and there's thunder in the sky and a killer's on the bloodshot streets...

Sewriously though, I love thunderstorms. Lightning flashing, lights in our living room either off or dimmed, and me curled up with mulled wine or coffee and Bailey's and reading a book on my housemate's beanbag. Listening to the thunder outside and the rain. Absolute bliss for me :D

Thick fog and a pinch of rain. That's the only weather that makes me really happy.

When I grow up.I'm going to move to place where there's often fog.For I get it almost never in the fjord I live in.

I once saw the Northern Lights (very rare in Ireland) above the bog near where I live.

It was totally beautiful, I was out there for hours in the freezing cold, just couldn't stop looking at it.

Funny this morning here in Virgina it was one of the mornings where the day before at school everyone was saying "ITZ G0NN4 SN0 N0 SK00L 2M0R0!!!" and once again I bought into it only to be greeted by a rainy snowless morning. As I was using the computer I heard on the radio "Storm warnings have been sent to several counties in Calfornia" and muttered "Lucky Californians I'll bet THEY got out of school today"

OT: I saw a meteor shower once which I thought was pretty cool it looked like the stars were literally falling out of the sky because meteors look very simmilar from a distance.

The one kind of natural occurence that makes me whoop with joy is when there's a heavy wind blowing, anything from a 6 to an 8. Ideally when I'm either out in a field or traversing rocky terrain... then I literally howl with the wind, start running and go apeshit crazy. I don't know why, but it's the only kind of weather that brings out my feral side, and I love it.

Always with the frenchmen being killed. Leave them be, i need them to restock my wine cupboard.
Actually just leave the winemakers be. Start with the mimes, mimes are evil.
