As I was reading this, I expected it to be a console game for some reason. Kickstarted F2P PC Game? What a twist!

Having played it, reminds me greatly of Diablo 2. Like the fact that there are no potions to restore health and it gives the game a bit more challenge because of it.

I like free and I like twisted versions of classic stories. Downloading it right now.

I played this for a couple of hours while the Kickstarter was going on. Pretty fun, and definitely beautiful. I think I'll wait for a little longer until they implement all the changes and fix stuff up before playing it again, though.

They make up for the lack of intelligence by hiding the true quantity and composition of the mobs. When you trigger an encounter, there's a good chance that at least 10 more enemies will come flooding out of the side of the stage in a style reminiscent of other Japanese media depicting demon ambushes.

More is generally better - the meat of your exp gains will be from chaining as many kills as you can, which leads to times where you will purposely get the attention of many enemies at once to rack up the carnage. This may be harder on those who are not good at mitigating damage.

Unfortunately, this design choice runs counter to the lag issue.

and it has the tendency to delete your character. well, thats what happened to me.
Are you certain that wasn't from the recent wipe when they went from Beta to Launch? I lost my character as well and that was the reason why.

How is this related to red riding hood?
Well, I guess you're hunting demon wolves constantly and one of the most prominent pieces of equipment is a hood...

Well, when I read that this was a twisted tale of Red Riding Hood based in a Japanese setting, I was kinda terrified...

Seems like a fun game though after readingthe review.
