I really don't care for the genre since I find them boring, so I tend to stay away from them.

But, I do think My Big Fat Greek Wedding is pretty great though, and pretty quotable.

I love you Phillip Morris.

One of a few movies that I can watch again and again and still be affected by.

I'm not sure if 500 Days of Summer counts as romantic comedy. If it doesn't I don't know what to tell you.

EDIT: Googled romantic comedy and 40 year old virgin is in the result. That would be my second film.

It's called ecchi.
They make romantic comedies for men too... it's called any good romantic comedy ever made. The Stereotype that men only like porn or ecchi as you called it, needs to die in a fire.

Hopefully right next to the concept that women don't like action movies or women don't like horror movies

I probably like Romantic Comedies more than the average bloke.

To quote the intro to the show itself:

"Sit tight! That dizzying romantic comedy School Rumble is about to start!"

It was one of the first anime I ever watched, and its still one of the best in the romance comedy school slice-of-life genre.

There are some that I did watch first with my grandmother, so have fun guessing those out if you want...

Other than that, I purposely left out all of the animated romantic comedies because they would be too obvious on either title alone, it's an anime, or it's [fucking] DISNEY...

Shaun of the Dead. Easy.

(Edit) Now that I think about it... Amelie and Enchanted... but Shaun of the Dead seems like more fun, chaotic, and still well structured.

Being a lady, I was gonna try and do the "opposite", y'know, name a dudebro film I like. But I pretty much like all kinds of films, and I'm not really sure what the opposite to a romantic comedy is.

So yeah, I like The Princess Bride a lot. Really I like a lot of romantic comedies as long as I can buy into it. If I automatically dislike the couple, it's not working for me- Knocked Up was awful for that, I couldn't even sit through that whole film.

I think, not including The Princess Bride, Enchanted is probably my boyfriend's favourite romantic comedy. The first time I watched it with him in the room he was watching it behind my 3DS, pretending he wasn't into it.

I would liken the opposite of romantic comedy as the political thriller. Something that requires you to think, features a lot of people contributing to an element of wide scale conflicts of interest, the resistance to ideas of individual control and more the fragility of established systems of control rather than individuals and the merits of personal happiness.

It happened one night. One of only three movies ever to win a grand slam at the oscars. Still bloody hilarious to this day.

I also have to mention some like it hot, which may have the greatest ending to any movie I've ever seen.

I kinda meant in the stereotype sense, as in "ladies make dudes watch romantic comedies, dudes make ladies watch [X]" sense, but this works too. Hmm...

The only film I can think of that could be described as a political thriller that I've watched recently was Argo, which I quite enjoyed. Didn't make the boyfriend watch it, though, he wouldn't like it.

Hrm... it's been years since I watched a movie with a romantic partner... that seems sad for some reason. I'm not really into romantic comedies. I think the last movie I saw with an RO was the original Fail-Safe.

Does Shrek count? I mean it is romantic and a comedy, though there is a lot of parodying fairytales going on as well. I barely watch movies, to be honest, romantic comedy or not. I vaguely remember watching tv years back, when I still lived with my parents who had one, and occasionally flicking past a romcom there but I ussually didn't watch them.
