Economics Courses:
Seminar: Economics and Politics of European Integration
Seminar: International Political Economy
Lecture: Doing Economics with the Computer
Lecture: Applied Econometrics with R

History Courses:
Lecture: Classical Antiquity - A Short Introduction
Lecture: The Second World War, 1937-1945
Seminar: Greece in conflict (20th and 21st centuries)

Also, a 25 page seminar paper for history which I'll probably be writing once the semester is over during the winter break. I'll have to think of a good topic before the semester ends, I just hope I'm struck by inspiration.

I'm looking forward to it, overall. I've got some seminars which mix politics and economics, which I tend to find interesting. Then some more compuer-focused courses, so I can get some practice with Matlab and R, which I'm not averse to, even if it can be dry. And the first two history lectures don't even have tests or exercises, so I can just chill and focus on participating properly in the Greece-focused seminar. I don't even have a very large number of hours, my mondays and wednesdays will be free. A lot of papers to write though.

I'm a lazy git, so I'm only taking Discrete Mathematics, Differential Equations, and Programming in C. All late in the day, I don't pay money to get up before noon.

I have to go to my college at 1:00pm next Wednesday to get integrated into the library learning system; it's gonna be so technical and cash. Then I'll be able to log onto the system and use their free programs to make millions upon millions of web developments.

Computer Science, by the way.

LIFE 101 - Work Your Balls Off

It's a really valuable curriculum. The professor is a dick though.

Nonparametric Statistics
Introduction to Measure Theory
Stochastic Models
Survival Models
Numerical Algorithms
Python Programming

I might replace Python with something else though because I already know how to program in C, R and Matlab (insofar as a statistician needs to know, at least) so Python seems a bit redundant.

Nothing. Because I'm way too old for that, and useless at it anyway.

My life... Is weird.

My semester starts in two months, and I have to immatriculate myself this week! What are you all doing this fast?

Also, it will probably look like this: History, history, history, history, etc ... just different times in history.

Job; 9:00-5:00 until I hit 65.

30 days off a year whenever I want, which is nice.
That sounds horrible.

I graduated university last year so I guess I should be going along with all the other responsible adults here and saying things like "Working At a Real Job" and "Contributing to Society" but balls to that! My degree is pointless so I'm heading back to college in a few weeks, doing a Music Tech and Production course so my timetable looks like Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays studying Music Theory (up to Grade 8), Keys and Piano (up to Grade 5), Recording, Production and Composition.

Unless you've got a family peerage or a winning lottery ticket, I'm afraid that's called life. All you can do is try your hardest to get employed in a job that you actually enjoy doing.

I used to have a job as a computer programmer, it paid well and the prospects were good, but I absolutely hated the dreary work and ultra competitive work environment. The job I have now is less money, but far more enjoyable and less stressful, and I am so much more content and happy with my life because of that.
I don't get much time off work, but when I am working I do enjoy it, I think being able to compare it to the stressful job is a real boost because I know how bad others have it, and in comparison I've nothing to worry about.

I guess if the work is fun for you, it is fine. I would even do something like that myself, if I knew what work could entertain me long enough.

Otherwise I would try everything to escape this kind of situation.

That is a lot of days. Is it a government job?
Yeah, it's a government job. We're on short term contracts at the moment, which seems to grant more days off a year whatever bizarre way all the variables are calculated - On the downside we have to fight every few months to get our jobs extended, but if I manage to stay there for 4 years they will have to make me permanent to keep me, which is nice.

American courses have started now? Huh. Registration for me doesn't even open until next week. I know some of the courses I will be taking though.

I'm starting a PhD in September, so most of my time will just be projects: Two individual projects, one team project and one cohort project. There's also courses in Quantum Information Theory, Advanced Quantum Information Theory, Quantum Device Engineering, Topics in Quantum Engineering, Quantum Optics and Quantum Platforms. I also need to find a different course since I completed one of the courses -- Quantum Information Theory -- during my undergrad; for that I'm currently hoping to be able to get onto Quantum Physics 301.

If it isn't obvious, my PhD is in Quantum stuff.

Do so. Python is a really good language to know -- as someone who did a Computer Science undergrad, it's my favourite programming language -- so I would still recommend learning it, but you don't need an entire course about it if you already know those languages. Spend an hour or two on a tutorial and read the documentation if you get stuck with any of it after that point.
