So, here's the deal.
I just beat Fallout 3, and completed several of its DLCs, and I need a game. As fun as Fallout was, it's not the sort of game in which I can romp around the countryside, playing around with all of my shiny toys (After all, my favorite guns will break if I keep that sort of thing up). There is also a close friend of mine, with whom I play every single co-op game that I purchase. He's agreed to go along with my insatiable desire to be playing one game on a regular basis at all times, and he will purchase whatever I decide to buy. Normally, I would just go out and purchase a sequel from some popular franchise that everyone loves, but I haven't really payed much attention to recent game releases and reviews, so I have only a vague idea of what's out there. Ideally, one of you would be able to suggest a game that I might enjoy, but there are complications.

-Your suggestion should be available for the Wii or 360.
-The game in question must features co-op, split-screen or online.
-After Fallout 3, I'm in the mood for something maybe just a bit more light-hearted. Not necessarily a child's game, but I'd enjoy something that's open-ended enough so that I would be able to mess around in between quests and whatnot.
-Something with replay value, whether that be through DLC, an excellent multiplayer mode, an enjoyable campaign, moral choice system that forces several playthroughs, etc. would be nice.

So with my ridiculous restrictions in place, does anyone have any suggestions?

Your choices limit pretty much every game out there. Fable II, I guess? Or you could tell your friend to go take a flying leap and buy Mass Effect. Why? Because I recommend Mass Effect to everyone. Goddamn it's good.

Crackdown has some nice co-op and it's a pretty big world where you can kick some crime butt.
Plus it's cheap (like $15) and pretty light hearted IMO

Saints Row 2 sounds like a good choice for you.

It has Co-Op and you can screw around a lot.

You could try out Jade Empire, not sure about the multi-player aspect, but it a decent, albeit a tad old RPG.

There are a large number of online modes

It's GTA, there's a large number of mini-games, jokes and a huge world to explore.

Some of the best DLC around, a campaign that changes based on your decisions and a large variety of multi-player modes.
So with my ridiculous restrictions in place, does anyone have any suggestions?
GTA 4[/b

EDIT: Curses - I wanted to edit my original post...

Definitely Saints Row 2. It's light-hearted (in that the developers basically said "pffft screw realism"), there's a shit-ton of side missions and a respectable amount of main missions, although the biggest selling point would be that the co-op is absolutely amazing! Playing the game on your own is fun, but playing the game with your buddy is an easy way to stay up all night and most of the next day without really realizing it. In my opinion anyway...

If you want light-hearted you have to go for saints row, it is great for laughs. Doesn't have co-op (except online) but you can't have everything.

Splosion Man, it's so darn fun and addictive, although it's a platformer, so no side-quests except the search for the cake, that is in fact not a lie. But it's so good! And the donut scientist has the best theme song ever. *starts humming*

Or Saints Row 2, it's mind-blowing fun!

Maybe crackdown, or Saints Row 2, Or GTA IV. Or Fable II, if you prefer to stick with fantasy-esque games. Although I don't know that Fable worth buyign unless you really enojy it, I know after I beat it I didn't feel like playing much more. You can wander around and kill or save whatever you feel like but...it's just too easy to be fun. Anyway it has a fun amin questline and fairly decent co-op.
