It's actually not the bad. It's exactly as it looks; Uta-wa-re-ru-mono. The "re" part may or may not be soft or hard, depending on your preference/accent.JoshV said:Utawarerumono, aside from having the most unpronounceable name of any anime I've ever come across,
I concur, good sir.Scikosomatic said:^ x2
But hey, it's pretty good considering it's based on a little known video game for the PS2
I thought it would be appropriate to additionally quote this member, as I feel the same. I find an anime that doesn't baby you through every single episode to be a nice change of pace from the usual blood on the market. Hakuro's quiet, subtle, and sometimes overwhelmed personality is completely understandable for someone who takes the role of a leader and had no past to speak for. That does not instantly qualify him as having the 'personality of a brick'.Rocketboy13 said:I very much enjoyed the series for the half I saw.
I actually find it a bit tiresome when an anime series lives and dies by the central plot, having every episode reiterate that a person has no memory of their previous life is unnecessary when the story of the week or the moment can do without that info. And having the central character be whiny about a situation gets tiresome, too many protagonists get upset about the situations they are in, the man man in this series instead reacts subdued, which is original, I would take a detached Jin over a spastic Mugen (Samurai Champloo) in most cases as a better character type.
Stilted Speech is a rare and cool personality trait, I like it when it is applied to characters other than the token nerd of the team (eg. Billy From Power Rangers).Jark212 said:"I am somewhat distraught by the unfortunate circumstances that have befallen me."
Greatest line ever...
But then again this applies to characters in about 98% of all the animes I watch...
