"God will kick his ass"...way to make us Christians look very good and mature. God's not your personal weapon idiots...
I don't know about that. If I made up a sign that said "I HATE FAGS" and started hanging around funerals, how long would it be before someone beat me up? The fact that WBC members appear to still have their noses unbroken tells me that the God angle is a major weapon in their crusade to troll the real world.
Actually, part of WBC's revenue comes from winning lawsuits against people who physically assault them. Usually, people who counter-protest the church are told to just ignore them, or not touch them for this reason. So the reason their noses aren't broken is because people are doing the smart thing.

I do have to admit that Shirley comes off as some kind of adult talking down to a kid, or just someone with a 'holier than thou' mindset, which isn't all that shocking behavior considering who and where it's coming from.

Sorry but with that attitude, she had it coming. Karma's a *****.
I am absolutely positive she and her group of jackasses aren't related in any way shape or form to Baptists, I just don't buy it.
I think they do it for the millions (MILLIONS) of dollars they get from court cases. As an example of someone hijacking a religion to promote something for money, EA hiring people to pretend to be religious fanatics to promote dantes inferno.
Oh, I don't think they have their holier than thou attitude because of their religious affiliation, but because of their typical 'protesting' practices. The things they go around saying and preaching about at their protests puts them as the kind of people who think they're better than everyone else.

Not that protesting as a whole automatically makes anyone fall into that category, but extremely hateful and overly aggressive protesting like that does.
ack well then sorry for stepping on your toes then. That's also a valid, and I'm sure spot on point that I didn't think of.

It's all good man, as someone who's participated in the March for Life a couple times, I've come to learn there are varying degrees of protesting and that compared to even some of the shocking imagery I've seen during the event I attended, WBC's 'protesting' is just pure hate speech. There's no goal, no usefulness or any productive outcome for what they do other than glorified ego stroking and attention whoring.

She was acting like a total idiot. Most people seem to dislike the WBC, they just aren't able to do anything about it. Anon can, and are. And the internet references were nice, even caught a Gurren Lagann reference in there.
When they protest soldiers funerals people have a tendency to slash their tires and chase them out of town on rims. Actually a whole group of motorcyclists attempt to follow them and put themselves between WBC and the funeral, sometimes they even carry makeshift plywood walls to help drown out the sound of WBC. I respect what Annon was trying to do but WBC makes all of their money off of court cases, I'm talking about hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars.
I remember hearing about the motorcyclists. Good to know about the rest, thanks!

I thought that was Voltaire?

First line of the second paragraph. Apparently she said it, but it often is misattributed to Voltaire.

Was a quote about her opinions on Voltaire since she wrote his bio.

Watched the video, Shirley is so fucking creepy, she always has a smile. Want to smack her in the with a hammer.

Good for Anonymous, I guess this gains some points to them for me.

He was much more mature than she was. He did not talk over her but the times she interrupted him mid speech. In any event just because Anonymous advocates free speech doesn't mean they will stand by while you harm them.

I may advocate the destruction of bobby kotick but of someone on that same team harms me i will harm them. What i believe in means nothing when someone that believes the same goes after me. Same for Anon and WBC. Anon supports free speech. WBC abuses free speech. When WBC kept going after them Anon struck them for their behavior. It is not about who supports what right now its about who threatened who. With WBC threatening Anonymous all bets were off.
Talking over someone is a small point - sometimes you're better to do it. I didn't see where she threatened anybody, and I wouldn't say being critical of Anonymous is grounds for limiting free speech.

Thanks for sharing :)

That is one evil, hatefilled cult.
They always come off thwirling their mustaches like saturday morning cartoon villains on crack.

They got the attention they wanted, and then the wrath of Annonymous to boot.
Must've been their best week ever!

Great job anonymous, the WBC have had it coming, and I do think it's better in this form of embarrassment than someone going to beat the living daylights of a member of that church, lets face it, it could happen- they have pissed off a lot of people, even other Christians. This is the right approach. Oh and maybe they will learn one of the greatest lessons in life- DON'T FUCK WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO HACK COMPUTERS.
