The thing is, I think at least the thing should be, that the vitriole she spewed was not as important as the way in which she spewed it. It was like Anonymous was arguing with a child who hasn't quite yet learned that throwing fits and calling people names doesn't work when the people to whom you are talking are adults. I think she expected this to be a knock down drag out and that Anon's actions would be far more immature which would marginalize or at least justify her behavior. Fortunately for anonymous, they didn't stoop to such a low level. Remained calm, collected, and obviously stayed on his toes by throwing in several internet memes into the mix. Actions speak louder than words, and the hate screeching church acted like a complete and total child, but that's probably because their words are also childish, close-minded, and corrosive.
Welcome to the big leagues, where intelligence actually counts for something. This church may be able to spread its hate in a location where there isn't a big push for education, and some people around probably have less than servile minds, but this is the internet. And I'd like to think that the technology favors the intellect. And I think anonymous helped make a case for that hope.
