That's the problem with the WBC though; you really can't shut them up by any legal means. They will not stop spewing their obscene bullshit, and, while they are incredibly loud, and even more ignorant, the one thing they understand is that they are allowed to spew this shit. Kudos to anonymous for (hopefully) making them think about the direct consequences of their actions (however unlikely that may be). Their representative was very patient with her: I am really impressed.
Seriously, I guess it helped that he was preparing to launch his revenge if the interview went South. Not paying attention to the WBC is the best weapon against it. However, I still think Anon played this one right, they are going to get way more support now, while people still wont care about WBC

Anonymous. The work for free speech i absolutely support. The continuous hacking and destruction of immature people's sense of stability and safety, i find hilarious.

Quoted for truth.
Unfortunately they like to picket the funerals of gay soldiers and other acts of depravity so they are worth our attention since they insist on being seen.

Anonymous was on Colbert Report last night some "master" counter hacker said he'd take them on for the govt. and they hacked the shit out of his computer even jacked the guy's WOW account.

My friend interviewed her by email for the school paper.
She was just as bitchy then as now, way to serve some Batman breakfast!

see, anonymous think they're the ones trolling Westboro.

But in truth, it's the Westboro Baptist Church that's not only trolling anonymous, but the entire world.
Yeah, but it's not like WBC's just gonna say "haha, joke's on you. Our belief is bullshit."
Trolling is usually done when a person is purposely trying to sound retarded, and I doubt church commitment means that.

LOOOOOOOOL! I couldn't stop laughing.

That lady is bat-shit crazy and I kinda felt bad for the Anon guy.

I know it's been said, but they need to shut down WBC.

You know, the remarkable thing about this exchange is it culminates in the members of one speaker's group (Anonymous) committing an illegal act upon the property of the other speaker's group (The Westboro Baptist Church)- and the Anon rep still comes across as the more civil, intelligent, and reasonable human being.

That's really telling. I know some people love to say there's no such thing as bad press, but if the WBC genuinely wants to propagate either itself or its twisted version of the "Word of God", it's doing a truly incompetent job.

Oh shit, this is ridiculous.

Anonymous has NO spokesmen, leaders, or representatives. Anyone who claims so is lying. Anonymous is a random collection of individuals who spontaneously fuck around, they have NO reps.

The internet needs to think about what Anonymous is.
I first thought that as well. But maybe Anon rep means they are same random anonymous group that hack US website, since they are pretty famous now.

I enjoy the show. Maybe WBC gains more attention from it, but Anonymous gets more POSITIVE attention from it and as a group of vigilantes their image is pretty important. I enjoy the show.

"Over 9000 sins." I see what he did there.

So I guess that this is the part where the WBC takes their lawyer-infested group and tries to sue... uh... the... internet?

You know...if I was talking to someone who claimed to represent a group of fairly competent hackers and they said "I have a surprise for you," my reaction would probably not be to keep on talking.

24 hrs later Godhatesfags is still down.

I wonder what was done specifically. Even abunch of DDoS bots need some place to host.

I'm beginning to wonder if Phelps and crew are keeping the sites down themselves.

God, I wish I could join this fight.
Also, I lol'd when the Anon guy started throwing around memes, and when she didn't get any of it.
Also, the WBC spokesmen need to learn how to shut up when they're told to.
