I ask because earlier today I was looking things up for the next book Changes and all I can say is holy shit. Holy Shit, Holy Shit there were one or two other things Jim Butcher indirectly implied would happen that would give the series a much darker tone.

I see that you have double posted. Anyway, I recently came across the Dresden Files series, and I must say that it really peaked my interest. I may get one of those to read between Discworld novels, I'm very curious.

Big fan of both the books and the series.
The series was a good bit of fun and should have lasted longer (and featured more characters from the book).
I see the books as what the Anita Blake books would have been if you replaced their raising levels of crap with wit and plot :)

Love the Dresden Files. One of my favourite book series. Haven't seen the series though, although my friend said it was quite good. I still need to read Turn Coat but I'm trying to wait for it to come out in paperback first.

I'm literally in shock. Sean Bean from the Game of Thrones has absolutely nothing on this.

I now have to read the next two books in the series.

I don't even know what to say.

One of the cruelest endings I've ever heard of. Maybe not even for Dresden, but for the people reading the books.

Finally made a successful move with Murphy. Just figured out another family member of his. Shot dead in less than a second.

I'm in awe. I wonder if the library is open at 7 O'clock

I'll just say one thing. Polka + Bones. Awesome.
Polka will never die.

I adore the books, personally. Butcher's style of writing in Dresden (but less so, I think, in Codex Alera) is very good at drawing one in. Also, I like competent, smart-mouthed heroes.
