Twisted metal games are awesome. I think all of them but twisted metal black are on the ps1 right? I cant quite recall but they are all great. Also Resident Evils 1-3.

Yes but what good is an emulator when your computer doesn't have analog sticks?

Speaking of which Ape Escape was also a good PS1 game.

Since he's asking for ps1 games I'm assuming he either has a ps3 or a ps1. If it's the former then he can connect his controller to his computer for fun times. If it's the latter then he's just SOL unless he has a joystick in the shape of a modern controller.

I think pretty much everything has been said by now.
Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot have been dropped a number of times, with reason! Remember those titles.

Still... It's kind of sad when someone asks for good PSOne titles and doesn't like jRPG's.

That one particular genre is like... 1/3 of all good PS-games.
So, my recommendation? Maybe check out some other consoles.
(why PSOne titles anyway?)

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

This. You cannot ever go wrong with Soul Reaver.

The combat is brutally fulfilling, and Raziel [http://images.buddytv.com/usrimages/usr500053214/500053214_3984d6ce-2d81-4b2a-a116-066249ae91af-the-eye-of-raw-sr2-raziel.jpg] might just be one of the only video game protagonists to look awesome in a scarf.

HOGS OF WAR!

This thread is increasing my anger with Sony with regards to the utter uselessness of the PSP Go. I was so excited to get one, a portable PS1 with the ability to download all those games I traded in years ago and miss playing, brilliant! Here Sony, take my money, you've earned it!

Alas, the selection of PS1 originals on the European store is laughable and the Media Go software you need if you haven't got a PS3 won't run on a Mac.

What a fucking let down.

/this. Sony have done nothing to relive their classics on the psp. Why did you get te go anyway? 3000 is much better. Spyro isn't even fucking on there

Thank you! Finally someone said that. Sure it may be a JRPG, but it's one of the greatest games for the PS1 around.
Here's a little bit about it: you get dragon armor complete with wings, it's more of an Arthurian sort of setting which slowly adds in more magic rather than a mystical world from the offset, there is a notable lack of agnst, combat is a huge step above most others, even though it is turn based (it's called additions, and it is one of the best improvements to the turned based combat in these games), the story is fun to follow, dragons are creatively designed rather than just the stereotypical version you normally see, and there are some great looking parts of the game despite being a PS1 game.

I'll also recommend Metal Gear Solid, though try not to foam at the mouth over some of the genetics in the game.

I wanted to say Legends of Dragoon so bad but he said no jrpgs which is a travesty. My brother stole it from me and sold it years ago, sigh... Final fantasy 7,8,9, chrono trigger. The list goes on and on. Sometimes I look back at my PS2 and wonder if the advancement of graphics to the level they are today have ruined gaming somewhat.
