Anyone actually play Bulletstorm?

It's wasn't bad, but it was a crammed full of the usual mediocre AAA BS that specifically brought about the desire for a game that was actually fun that it advertised to.

You could tell they were definitely trying, but some grumpy old man was looking over their shoulders to make sure they completed the mediocrity checklist before they could actually sell the game.

Beat the story, thought the game was fun, there were some interesting parts (the huge wheel thing, the dam) ultimatly it was fun but had no replay value whatsoever.

Played the demo and loved it but I'm not buying it until it hits $20 (which I assume will be before the Holiday season)

Great demo though. I'm playing Painkiller to pass the time.

Loved it. Although I feel it was a bit too realistic. Could have been crazier. Still, an excellent game. Skillshots, cool weapons, that whip-thingy, the game has everything I look for in a shooter. And in my opinion, it was better than Painkiller.

Got the demo, played it a few times, wasn't all that impressed. Seemed like the much-touted "kill with skill" aspect wasn't as well-executed as it could've been.

It seems like when I wrapped two grenades on a chain around a dude, then fire a bottle rocket into him, sending him flying into all his friends before lifting them all in the air and exploding them....I should get a few more points then I did.

I tried the demos on both 360 and PC. I didn't really like the way aiming felt on either of them, so I've decided to give the game a pass, at least for now. If it ends up being in a Steam sale for $5 some day, then maybe I'd grab it. Otherwise, probably not.

I got the Epic Edition.
Gears of War 3 Beta is awesome.

Oh, and I loved the shit out of Bulletstorm, but there were many faults.
Mainly, you would get nearly all the Skillshots in one playthrough. Two, they were either too easy, too hard, or wouldn't register no matter how many times I got them.
Three, considering the game was based around that system, there were waaaaay too few of them.

For the sequel, all I think is needed are a few major tweaks:
More guns.
A campaign at least twice as long, and with three-four times as many skillshots.
None of that multiplayer shite that came with it.
And no 'Echoes' either; they were literally just campaign missions.
Just give us full co-op capability in the normal campaign.

Oh, and fix that shit about kicking enemies into things: The main problem was that skillshots' points gradually lowered the more you used them, making them rather useless as you couldn't buy more ammo with the small amount of points you got, whereas kicking enemies into things (And I mean by that I mean anything) never got old, and would always give 200 points per kill. Way to encourage creativity.

In summary, one of the funnest playthroughs of all time, but that's all it's good for. Just the one playthrough. Add replay value, People Can Fly...

Must admit that I got it after hearing all the Fox News Rape stuff about it expecting it to be mental...it wasn't. Fun, but not the head-mental stuff I expected

It was super fun, but I don't play multiplayer so there were only maybe ten-ish hours of original gameplay.

Yup.

Bought it, played it, loved it, played it again.

My only real complaint is that every now and then it starts trying to take itself seriously. Which is just bloody stupid. But then it passes and the characters go back to threatening to kill each other's genitals.

Oh yeah, and there were two skillshots that I could never pull off. That really annoyed me.

No. Nobody played Bulletstorm. You were the sole person on the planet that the game was made for and marketed to. Nobody actually played Bulletstorm.

All sarcasm aside, no, I haven't played it yet. Waiting for the price drop. It seems wicked fun.

Also, edit your question.

...saw it played enough on the PS3 to know it's not really for me. I even tried out Echoes on said system... I was underwhelmed, but I absolutely hate console thumbsticks for FPS control. I would have gotten it anyway (I had the opportunity to pick it up for $20, once), but it requires Games for Windows Live, which I'm not willing to use.

Hell yeah!

I even liked the story a fair bit. Yeah it was cheesy, but dammit, I love cheese! Even when the cheese takes itself seriously.

I bought it release day, beat it on Very hard within about 4 days, 3 sittings of about 4 hrs each.

It was a good game, a really fun game. Combat has never been so smooth and fun in a 1st person shooter before, and trying to get the kills was fun, and executing them was a real treat. Too bad the story was...meh.

I will say that the dialog, though over the top, felt necessary. Echo mode felt...well it felt not as fun as the story did without the "oh yeah!" and "take that chode muncher!" that was being yelled out by Grayson.

I will say I would like there to be a sequel to this game. Make some weapon upgrades, add some shiny new weapons that are a treat, give us a generic gun other than an assult rifle, and make the story a little tighter. The best parts were when you blew things up. Riding on the train with the giant gear behind you, that was awesome. Having to wait for something to get fixed while defending against an onslaught, a treat. And Trischka would be an interesting character to expand on, I think she does have a strong chem. to build with Grayson, as well as grow as a character

Overall, the combat in the story was a blast, the stuff that lost dialog was fun but not as strong, and the campaign left me wanting more, overall, I enjoyed it

No.

I tried the demo and enjoyed it, but decided that the game just wouldn't be entertaining long enough. Dick jokes get boring pretty damn quickly and I knew the campaign would be really short.

I only asked because of the sheer lack of threads about it. Also, edit the question how? It was supposed to be in present tense. I still play it. If that wasn't it I apologise, I'm so hopped up on prescription painkillers it's a wonder I can put a coherent sentence together.

It's a major time sink if you get that leaderboard chasing bug. Planning a good scoring run in an Echo is much harder than you think. What I believe the main campaign could have benefited from was possibly branching routes and alternate endings dependant on your score. Scoring in the campaign is not really that important for the most part.
