Self-esteem isn't a problem so much as the whole atypical autism thing.
Uhhh, what does that mean?
Autism tends to make people incredibly shy. It's not because he has low self esteem, it's just his genes.

Everybody knows I am the best thing since sliced bread, why would I have self esteem issues?

To be realistic, I have insecurity since my past couple of ex-girlfriends destroyed my self-esteem by being complete bitches (I apologize to all women on The Escapist for use of this word) and screwing me over.

I am awesome and sucky...

Well, I'm not an immodest man by any means. In fact, I should usurp the titles of Pope, Caliph and Khan if I felt them to be any better than "Lord". Quake before my insultingly overbearing self-esteem non-issues!

I think I'm alright. I wouldn't mind there being a few more of me in the area.

Can't it be both? Or is that just me? >_>

Angsty teens without a doubt. I'm sure I was the only person in my entire school that knew they were going to do well at GCSEs. It's annoying, to say the least, to hear the smartest person you know say 'I'm going to fail' before every test only to get A and A* in every single one, fucking pathetic.

I'm fairly certain it's that whole teenage angst thing.
Years ago I was the same way, then one day I was just eating some lunch and it just smacked me across the face what I was slowly becoming. A.. *dramatic pause* emo.

And I destroyed the whole angst thing.
Then I realized I was so awesome, I can scare doors open. And they were totally not automatic doors.

It can be both. It depends how severe the autism is.

I suck at things, but I have high self-esteem.
Self-esteem is just that, esteem of yourself. It is how you feel about yourself, not how other feel about you. The moment you let others control your self-esteem is the moment you lose control of yourself. If someone wants to insult you or your family, let them. It just means they are uncomfortable with their life and need to bring someone down to their level and make themselves feel better. Once they realize they can't get anything from you, they'll turn their attention to someone they can.

Depends on my mood. My self-image can swiftly go from the happiest, most confident person in the world to a hopeless, friendless loser who is unloved by Al.

Well I'm not gonna run around shouting "I AM AWESOME!" because that'd make me a complete dick.
I do.

But really, I do it in a satirical manner.
All jokes.

I don't have self esteem issues, I know my weaknesses and personally I don't care I still think of myself as awesome and get on with my life, feeling bad about yourself is just a waste of your time.

As a wise man once said: I think awesome therefore I am.

I do not call myself awesome, but since I've been in a healthy relationship, my self esteem and self confidence levels have risen greatly.

I don't see why people have self esteem issues. I know for a fact that I'm pretty awesome.

19 Years young, engaged to someone I've been dating for a straight 3 years

6 years kickboxing and 4 years MMA

Attending cop college.

I've got all the reason in the world to be happy with myself. I've never had confidence problems at any point in my life. I've always spoke my mind and have never thought at any point my life was shitty/Unfulfilling, that I was a failure or any of that.

I used to be a whiny little bastard when I came here and I think I still am now... oh well at least I'm not emo and suicidal or whatever people call those kind of people whilst keeping politically bollocksy correct.
