I just got pills to treat it and they seem to be working.

And I was forced to go after a couple of incidents.

Yes comrade I have been but I pulled through after a few hard years. Your doctor will most likely sent you to a psychiatrist who you will spend some time talking to, tell the truth this is very important. Your Psychiatrist will then determine if you would be better off on medication or not. Try to avoid Paxil if possible...

Most of all everything will be okay...

I've got bipolar disorder. No kidding. It's pretty fun, actually. Yeah, half of the time I'm like 'oh shit, fuck all, I'll go jump off a cliff', but the other half is like being an energizer bunny high on crack and lsd at the same time while having a permanent orgasm.

Oh no...my psychiatrist recommended Paxil for me. Is it bad? Does it have bad side effects?

Well there is a chance that one could get dependent (addicted) to it. I did when I was getting off all my medications last year this was the last one I did, I foolishly thought I could kick it cold turkey like all the others but after day 5 I was on the ground of my bathroom sobbing uncontrollably. So I slowly (over two months) switched over to Prozac which was really mild and from there I am now medicine free...

But it's extremely important to remember that medicines effect different people differently and this might not necessarily happen to you. Keep in mind that it may be better to stay on a medication permanently depending on what you and your doctor decide...
