I heard on Fox News about the Acorn Preamble, and checked it out myself.

Some statements did bother me, like the statement saying Acorn will continue to fight "until the American way is just one way, until we have shared the wealth, until we have won our freedom." I could be misunderstanding that, I'll admit, but it does give credence to Fox News claims of Acorn pursuing socialism. Also, the part about the Corporations makes it seem that way too. It does appear to be communistic (not sure if that's the right word or right spelling for it, either).

It does seem anti-capitalism. I know some of you may hate capitalism, but I would like the option of sticking with it. Freedom of choice is something the U.S. is founded on.

Besides, communism doesn't seem to reward or encourage individuality, and I like to be myself.

Still, to each their own.

Here's the document for those who want to read it:

Their are some good ideas, like the government answering to the people. That should be carefully done, though. I don't want the majority to take the rights of the minority if it is unjust.

"Freedom of choice is something the U.S. is founded on."
Ironic considering slave labour is what the White House is founded on.
Seriously, slaves lay the foundations of the house that is meant to represent freedom and equality in its simplistic, understated aesthetic.

What bothers me about ACORN's preamble is that it is worded much like any piece of totalitarian propaganda.

We can pretty much agree slave labor is morally wrong (I hope). I'm glad that it's gone. I think it was stupid for them to believe in slave labor and the rights of men. It was contradictory. I'm glad that it's been (mostly) corrected today.

Yes, but the country was founded upon freedom either way. The original colonists were only following what the Pyramid of Perfection had been at that time; there weren't many of other races abundant in European society, so they couldn't have easily seen them as men, especially when they got great workers when they didn't.

And by Pyramid of Perfection, I mean the human ideal we are all born with that leads us to believe we are perfect. People like to think they are the best, and then their family, then their friends, and continuing. When a problem arises, they like to blame the lowest on the pyramid that could be involved, because the mind doesn't like to think they are flawed. Think how we used to think that we were the center of the universe, and everything revolved around us. That's just a basic idea.
Mind you, people can definitely be raised differently, but instinctively, humans have this Pyramid of Perfection programmed into their brain.
