Why nobody ever gets that this is the ending to the seventh book is beyond me.
does he all of a sudden have the horn with him, when they make such a big point of him not having it earlier? The whole point of it seemed, at least to me, as if God was saying to him "Nice job, congratulations, but you forgot the horn. Start over, and try to get it right this time."
And as for the eighth book, I seriously hope it never comes to fruition. As much as I had problems with the current ending, sticking your head back in and saying "Oh, by the way, this happened too" would make it worse. The only way it would work is if it was either a prequel, or if it had nothing to do with Roland at all and followed someone else.
